Mareeba wetlands jabiru is an amazing location with a small amount of accommodation. Mount Quincan crater retreat is another gem, close to yungaburra. Hope you can find something

We would highly recommend The Blue House - small hotel near Blue Mosque in old part of town. Walk to most important sites and if you get upper floor rooms, views of the Bosporous.

Fasta Pasta are great, Grilld burger bar have gluten free burgers & I wouldn't recommend Fettas as they do not cater for gluten free diners:(
