GUYS - I need an entertainment lawyer STAT - any recommendations?
Kristen W. replied:
As a general help to artist friends in this thread - The Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston has a referral service that they stock with experienced copyright / licensing & entertainment attorneys and make referrals on a sliding scale basis (pay according to income) hhttp://www.artsandbusinesscouncil.org/apply-for-services.html --- Matching takes a bit longer than ASAP because you "apply" for services but the Boston Bar Association has a lawyer referral service that can connect you with someone very quickly - http://www.bostonbarlawyer.org/ or call 617-742-0625 to get info / to set up a consultation with someone on the BBA's IP panel! Hope this is somewhat helpful!!!

Do you think Attorney General Martha Coakley would make a good governor of Massachusetts?
Andrew B. replied:
Coakley would be, at best, more of the same. We need another viable option than these re-tread Democrat & Republican candidates. Why not a guy like Evan Falchuk? He's an independent with the intelligence and leadership skills that MA has been missing. Seems like there's no better time to introduce a viable third party. www.falchuk2014.org United Independent Party www.falchuk2014.org In the News | September 10, 2013The Marshfield Mariner profiles growing campaign... of Independent candidate for Governor Evan Falchuk"The 43-year-old Auburndale resident visited the South Shore recently bringing a message of a new approach to politics and governing in the state. Horrors. I thought we were done with her when we elected Scott Brown. She rises again like a Phoenix.:-O
Catherine L. replied:
Martha Coakley has filed charges on the Mayor of Lawrence -William Lantigua- that's a first great start up run towards cleaning up the system- i would be interested on where she goes and if she runs- Not a democrat but she has ovaries that aren't afraid of a good fight!
Joe K. replied:
I think she would do a good job, she's a smart and skilled lawyer, but I remain skeptical to her campaign ability, last time out she seemed a little unclear on the people part of the job. Robert Reich should be our governor.
