I've had Century Link for about six months or so and it isn't quite as fast as Mediacom but it's so much more reliable. It's been out once for about three hours, and otherwise it goes out sometimes for a minute. Mediacom used to go out for days at a time.

Internet Associates is great b/c their people are so great. They will go above and beyond to make sure your service works. But after they moved their tower then we just couldnf get a good enough signal most of the time. But they are the nicest people around and I would definitely recommend that you should at least try them to see if their signal works at your house.

It is on Ashland Drive just across from Scotty's Wrecker Service. If you send me your address I can drive by sometime and take a look if you are interested. You should have a fine signal, depending upon trees. I am an operating partner with Internet Associates.

Internet Associates is good too. Their service maxes out at around 4 mbps, but that is way better than Centurylink's 1.5 mbps where I live. It's unlimited, and has low latency (i.e. good for gaming). $49.99 flat a month with no tax or fees. NO CONTRACT.

Supposedly Centurylink is upgraded all the lines going into the homes in Jan. At least in Hamilton so I'm assuming they will in Cameron also. My husband has been calling them weekly forever and complaining because he has to reboot daily at least. That's what they told him after multiple complaints.
