Can you guys give me a good recommendation for a primary care doctor in the area? Need a general physician.

Dr. Daecher has a macro practice and know zilch about Lyme, if you are satisfied with that.:)

Dr. Margaretta Ameigh (pronounced "Amy") with Family Physicians in New Cumberland. She is AWESOME! 717-774-7041
Korynne M. replied:
I know all of these Doctors as I am drug rep and Dr. Demario is very smart but he is all business and he will make sure you are compliant and that you are helped. Only thing is he does not do weekends or work past 4 usually. The other Doctor in that practice is Matzoni. Dr. Daecher is good but her hours are even more limited. Dr. Ameigh is super nice. Dr. Eghartner is awesome.

Depending on what type of payment arrangements you like I would recommend Scott Setzer (one fee for the whole year.) Otherwise, I recommend Christine Daecher on Market Street, Camp Hill.

Benjamin K. replied:
I would suggest making an appt with your GP and seeing what they say. Might be simple, might not be. Only a doctor could tell you. Anyone on here that is not a doctor, but is giving medical advice is just practicing mental masturbation. Orthopedic Institute of PA (OIP) has a great team. I recommend them.
Jamie S. replied:
Sarah Witmer I am being treated by a team of Docs at OIP who are caring and they take time to listen. I am getting a nerve test done tomorrow actually. They also avoid giving you drugs. I am doing PT right now and they gave me a cream....that I misplaced. Hmm. Good Luck my dear! Let me know if you have any questions. Dr. Mueller at OIP is the best!

Eric Klinedinst of Simply Well is a caring and knowledgeable expert in his craft—an honored graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He's also a proactive positive community leader in Carlisle as well as the surrounding Cumberland and Adams counties. My wife, as many others, can attest to Eric's skills. Several years ago, Kim had a zinging pain that would shoot from her hip to her knee or ankle and back up sporadically and unpredictably. She'd had it for years, and after three adjustments it was completely gone—never had it again. Kim also had recurring nausea that was apparently being caused some upper back/cranial nerve issues, and that is completely gone as well. Sarah, Eric can help you: 717.448.3483.
Any thoughts on a good primary care physician? Would love to find a local osteopath but having limited luck.
Rita U. replied:
I would personally recommend Dr. Daniel Kambic who is a D.O., he's now part of Pinnacle and located in a beautiful new office on Front Street in Steelton. He is not my physician but was my parents' for many years, and he was extremely caring and stepped outside the usual bounds for doctors, even attending my mother's viewing when she passed away. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Ginni L. replied:
Dr. Jane Kirker Conroy on Poplar Church Road and Grandview. Great bedside manner. I love her.
Alice C. replied:
I go to Greg Ehgartner, DO at Susquehanna Internal medicine in the medical arts building near Holy Spirit.
Samantha S. replied:
I see Sara White at the new Penn State Hershey Med office in mechanicsburg. It's a family practice so it's super convenient for my family and she's a great DO.

Peggy K. replied:
Dr Theresa Burick doesn’t take insurance but she charges a flat fee for Concierge service I think I it’s called. That means she has a smaller practice and is available more often for her patients…She is amazing, But I believe the price is pretty steep.
Jennifer B. replied:
Dr. Scott Setzer has a concierge practice - he charges an annual fee. He was an amazing doctor when we had him when he still accepted insurance.
Todd L. replied:

Jessica K. replied:
I would suggest contacting your insurance company or checking their website for eligible providers (and also to see which ones will accept a new patient!). Healthgrades.com is a good resource for reviews and maybe if anyone gives you a recommendation, they might already be on your list of options? Hope you find someone great!

Shepardstown family practice. I see Dr. Baja there and just started going a few months ago but she was the first Dr. I had that was genuinely concerned about any symptoms or problems I have. Even at my first check up when I had a list of things to discuss she took the time to deal with all of them and didn't rush me out the room. They are great!!!
Rebecca W. replied:
Dr. Herzog in Mechanicsburg does functional/integrative medicine. But the accepted insurance plans are limited.
Jess S. replied:
My son sees Dr. Cincotta. I've seen many doctors throughout my life (and I'm not very old) but this was the first practice I've been with that has genuinely cared and as a first time mother doesn't treat me like I don't know what I'm doing and seems to really put effort in getting to the bottom of things. I would recommend them over and over again!!!
Carey C. replied:
Kim I'm not sure what you mean by alternative care but my friend said that what she liked most about Dr. Hutchinson (who is a woman) was that she offered more natural ways to treat some issues she is dealing with than to treat with prescriptions. I switched doctors because my previous doctor didn't take the time to listen to me. I have had my fair share of health issues to deal with over my 43 years on this earth and most have taken place over the last 13 years. The whole event snowballed into major life changing events that are more frustrating than anything I have ever dealt with. Sabrina took the time to listen to all my frustrations, issues, things I have tried in the past that didn't work, my options for now and for what to do in the future if the things she prescribed didn't work this time. I haven't had doctors like the ones I have found in this practice since I was in Texas.
Julia G. replied:
I agree with Kelly. I love Dr. Heidi Long.
Gretchen S. replied:
Dr. Uniacke and Dr.Wilson in silver springs
Sarah Y. replied:
Cumberland Center for Natural Health.... Dr. Richwine owns the practice. He is a DO, and prefers to handle his patients osteopathically before shoving a prescription at them. He also prefers to only take patients who he thinks he can help.
Casey M. replied:
I see Dr. Yang at Mechanicsburg family practice. She has an amazing view on treating patients, does not medicate unless its really necessary, and sees my entire family. You will like her
