Can anyone recommend a tree service to cut down two large 50 yr old Maple trees? I just got an estimate of 10,000$

Git R Down in Mechanicsburg. Very professional and a great price. We just used them to take down a over 100 foot oak in a very difficult position in our yard and trim 3 other huge oaks. Total coast was less than 4,000.

So much fun! Jennifer Adams Moore, check with Audrey Logar, CH Parks and Recreation Department for specifics, Basically Audrey has Music groups come to the pavilion over lunch time, and the community gathers with their bagged lunches to listen and enjoy. Audrey also sets up a grill and sells hot dogs, and drinks, if someone is running over quick from work, and for the campers!

Git R Down took my hundred foot plus tree down in May. They also ground the stump out. They were very resonable compared to other companies I had quotes from.

Edit: Posted this at the same time as your comment about where you live. I'm not sure if they do work in Harrisburg. I'm not sure where you're located, but if you're around Lancaster county, I recommend All Season Tree and Bucket Truck Service: https://www.treeserviceoflancastercounty.com/ We live in a residential wooded area and clear about 2-5 trees a year on our property. We've used a bunch of services, and Amos (the owner) and his crew have been by far the cheapest and consistently reliable. He's even bought the felled trees from us if they're in good enough shape, which sure beats the 25% upcharge many companies place on hauling the trees away.

We used Alpine Tree Experts for 2 fairly large pines at our house. They were great to work with. No complaints at all. http://www.alptree.com
In need of a tree service recommendation. We have a tree down on wires.

Melanie, there's a list on the borough's website of tree services that have agreed to follow professional standards (although it doesn't matter quite as much when you're removing a tree vs. pruning a tree) - http://www.camphillborough.com/looking-for-a-tree-service/. Alpine, Cumberland Valley, Goods and Shulls would all be good choices.
Hi Everyone, love the group. Recommendations on someone to deliver/ spread stone and also a tree trimming service? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rodney has been a great resource for me. I forget the name of his company, but he seems ethical, hard working and just good (which is hit or miss with tree guys). He has been a dependable source of wood chips for me. In fact, depending on what kind of tree you are trimming, I may take the chips for my pathways through the garden. His number is 701-2302. A company that I have used personally is mountaintop tree service out of new Cumberland. Dave Horan is the guys name. He was reasonably priced but some of his crew was rough. Good guys. But some may be seen in the bar at noon on a rainy day. Who can blame them with that job, though.:-) If you go with goode's, be prepared to hand over your kid. But they do a lot of work in camp hill.
