Dr John Williamson at Bow River Vet is excellent!

Bow River Vet!!! Very skilled dedicated and compassionate folk who work there! They care 100% about your pets and not the bottom line. We had to put our cat down last year and major surgery for the dog this year, they were amazing.

We really like and respect Dr. Sylvia McAllister at Canmore Veterinary Hospital. We have gone to her for everything from minor concerns to major surgery. I would definitely recommend seeing her.

Bow River Vet on Railway. But at the end of the day they are all very good at what they do. I did find one to be a lot pricier though if you are looking at the cost factor. Best to go and meet everyone before making a decision.

Dr. Ian at the Canmore vet hospital has managed to keep my creature alive in more emergencies and dire situations than I can count. Certainly more than the 9 lives this cat has worn out. The team there is amazing!

Can anyone help me? I have a rescue bunny. I think it is a male and I can't find anyone who does low cost spay/neuter. Calgary Humane Society won't help and the Calgary...
Kathleen T. replied:
I agree - if it is a rescue and Calgary Service offered to do the spay and neuter for free - I don't understand why your rabbits wouldn't be included.
Kate M. replied:
I have never heard of a low cost clinic for rabbits. The Humane Society only deals with their animals. The City just stared a spay/neuter clinic, but I don't know if they take in rabbits, they have stopped taking applications for now due to the back log. There are no rabbit specific rescues. There really aren't many options for rabbits and the vets aren't cheap either. There may be some cheaper vets, but they aren't rabbit savvy and it can be risking their lives with some vets.
