Rachel, I have fibro (10+ yrs) and I found a big connection on artificial sweeteners and also high carbs ( bread, pasta, cakes... Not natural carbs like fruit) when I eat too many, I am stiff and very sore. I also found low impact exercise helps a lot.. You will hate it the first 2 weeks, but then (for me ) it helps ease a lot of the daily pain. I just walk... I was up to 5 miles a day when I was trying to drop the extra weight, but honestly a mile or so is good (for me) to maintain the joint relief. Personally, I see dr McCurry 275-3000 and he is very good with me. He is a very strong Christian as well, which I like :). Good luck honey, soft gentle hugs your way.

Susan Young Frady, she works at Dr. Buttons

No Katheryn Sipos no one does really understand. ... it sucks. .. I just want help managing this crap ... Ya know. ... but what I don't undErstand is what gives the dr the right to pretend it's nothing instead of trying everything to help. .. frustrating
Heather S. replied:
I see Dawn Evert at Affordable Health Care Clinic in pueblo. I was diagnosed with fibro in 2010 and have so many other health problems. Dawn is VERY understanding. I travel an hour and a half just to go see her once a month. Have you been diagnosed already?
Can anyone recommend a good family physician that is accepting new patients?
Katie P. replied:
Dr. Button himself is a very good doctor, but the staff and everyone else is NOT. Harmonie Simiano, I can definitely see them saying that to you. I switched my kids about 5 years ago over to Sabatini, good doctor. As for family doctor for yourself as well, I cant think of anyone to recommended right now.
Kandaladia K. replied:
Dr. Button is an awesome dr. he stopped my labor so many times when my dr was out of town.. Hes the reason my baby girls is here with us today..
Mo F. replied:
P.S. Buttons will have you see a variety of providers, that is a good way to find one you "click" with. When you find one you like, just request them when you make appts.. After a while, they just remember who you see.lol. I rarely have to request my doc now cuz they all pretty much know now. Good luck, whomever you choose.
Amanda B. replied:
Thank you all for the advice and opinions, my family had a very bad experience with the new Dr. Pollack, he didn't look at my husband in the eyes, or at all for than matter and stayed on the computer the whole time without ever examining him. FYI, if anyone used Haven's before this is the same people disguised by another name.
Matthew H. replied:
Dr. Gary Mohr 730 Macon Ave. Cañon City 275-1618 I'm sorry, I do not know if he's accepting new patients but my very best guess is that he is. Conservative, loves kids, used to have photos of all the kids he delivered on his office wall - there just got to be too many!
Harmonie S. replied:
Buttons is horrible! Dr. Sabatini is amazing she is the best doctor I've ever had for the kids.

Valerie N. replied:
Dr. Buttons office calls the police on you even when you go to your appointment - I showed the officers my reciept from the day before at Dr. Buttons and they left - BUT should never have been at my door!!!!!! I loved Pat Burnt but something went wrong and I WAS without a doctor (with Ankylosing Spondylitis)
Valerie N. replied:
When I asked the officers how I could help them... they said" You did not go to your doctors appointment yesterday" I showed them my receipt and they left. Then as I tried to get answers from Dr. Buttons office, The office manager blew up at me and said I can not go back. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and I really liked Pat Burnt, but could not go back and I never understood why. I relied on them for help and they made my life harder and scarier....
Roxanne H. replied:
A doctors office does not just call the police for no reason. There is obviously something not being said. I've been going to Button Family practice for 3 years and never had a problem. I also have my associates in medical office management, if they called the police, there was a reason. If not then you had grounds to appeal. You have to miss 3 appts before they won't allow you to come back.

Exceptional Care for Women in Colorado Springs operates out of Penrose Saint Francis East and has five surgeons/OB and two midwives on hospital staff. They're amazing. My doctor there saved my life and my daughter's life and later delivered my son. Wonderful care, good people.
Heather W. replied:
I used Dr Richards at womens associates in Colorado springs. They deliver at memorial main. I loved my Dr. she was amazing and so was the hospital. I was high risk because of twins. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Rena S. replied:
I never had a problem with my doctor. Dr. Sindler delivered my two babies at St. Thomas More. During my prenatal check-ups, the only negative thing I ever experienced was waiting too long to be seen. He is a family doctor and he does see several patients a day, so a wait is to be expected.
Julie A. replied:
I have had Dr. Heavrin for the last year (we just moved). He's gentle, easy to talk to, and an all around good guy. Great doctor. He's also been practicing a while.
Heather H. replied:
Dr. Mollie Miller is top notch! I've heard good things about Zamboni-Cutter as well.
Shoney G. replied:
Dr. O'Connell at St Francis is amazing!
Santana M. replied:
Molly Miller and Zamboni Cutter are both exceptional doctors! Miller is my doctor but back in 2013 Zamboni delivered my daughter. I had no problems with delivering here in Canon everyone respected my wishes and was polite.
Carry T. replied:
If Zamboni - Cutter is gone on vacation, Mollie miller or Dr. Heaverine are also really great dr.s too.

Dr Hubbard at skyline vision.. My husbands a welder and got metal stuck in his eye, she made time for him and stayed late on Christmas Eve AND came in Christmas Day at no extra charge to make sure that she got it all out. The office girls are great too. We will never go anywhere else.
ItsMy S. replied:
I love Dr. Ashby at Southern colorado eye associates. With 3 kids, I've called more times I care to count with eye injuries always just before closing or hoildays, he always stays late to see them. The office staff is friendly and not pushy when it comes time to pick out glasses.
