I went to Faversham to get mine done, it was really informative, here’s the link http://www.apothecaclinic.co.uk/ xx
Sharon S. replied:
I went to Spencer Clinic at WHH for a definite allergy test (skin prick test) however you need to be referred by your gp Its more expensive than the allergy sensitive testing which I have had done, but they can also find out the cause - mine is to do with high histamine levels you can also be referred for further tests if required via your gp https://www.facebook.com/pages/Spencer-Private-Hospital-Ashford/1599711540349344
Can someone advise me on what to do if a foreign non eu national needs to see a doctor?

K&C hospital has a GP now in the Minor injuries unit and it’s a walk in service. Otherwise the Canterbury Health centre charges £30 but you need to book first.
Recently moved to the area and not had chance to register with a local doctors surgery yet. Are there any nhs walk in centres with a doctor so I can get some penicillin...
Sally W. replied:
Some minor injury units treat small infections like, throat or chest or UTIs, not sure about Canterbury but the Herne Bay one at Queen Victoria Hospital does, so I would have thought they can give out antibiotics.
Ryan K. replied:
Whatever you do, don't go to a minor injury unit. They are for minor injuries, not illness and it costs the NHS more money if you do. Go to any local GP, they should be able to give you a temporary registration form called a GMS 3, enabling you to be seen as a temporary resident https://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/Documents/Doctors/GMS3.pdf
Caroline D. replied:
You can visit any Gp surgery as a visiting patient, but most in Canterbury you have to call when they open in the morning for an appointment so you may have missed the boat this morning but well worth calling them all and finding out if anywhere can see you.
Any Doctors/dentist taking NHS patients currently in Canterbury. That won't give terrible service and make people wait over two weeks for appointments.
Peter O. replied:
I can recommend Bradley and Partners in the City for dentistry, but you will have to wait way over two weeks for a routine appointment. I'm afraid that's pretty standard these days. Plenty of GP surgeries do "on the day" appointments (for eg Northgate).
Would you recommend to hire a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner or to have it done professionally by somebody ? And if so, who? Looking for a good option which is not too pricey...

Looking for recommendations for a doctors surgery please? I would like somewhere that can offer appointments that aren't weeks away, or at least a sit and wait service....
Anita G. replied:
Canterbury health centre, old Dover road. They also work from sturry surgery, Island Road. I've been with them for 18 years and they've been brilliant. They have an app called 'My GP' that allows you to book your own appointment. Free (but limited) parking at both sites. I've never not got a 'same day' appointment with them.
