Anyone know a good dj or someone who deep down wants to be a dj and didn't know until reading this post? I'm getting married in May and since my fiance was unexpectedly...

I used Thumbtack to hire a DJ and received quotes around $400.

I have a good friend named Alex Bird who has been DJing weddings for some time now and I cannot emphasize how many compliments I got on how well he did for our wedding. I'm not sure how much he charges as him being a close friend he gave me a pretty great deal but he's a great guy and his enthusiasm for what he does is awesome. Below is a picture of his business card for contact reference but you can probably message him on FB for more info too http://www.oninstagram.com/photo/todays-guest-was-alex-bird-of-rockin-bird-contact-him-for-your-bar-wedding-or-party-if-you-761540061814721564_1384458202

Take Two DJs is great. Matt, the main DJ is a consummate pro, able to cater to all events from professional sports to high school dances and I would recommend. He is also very sensitive to pricing needs and you can view info at: http://www.taketwodjs.com

Not sure on his rates - but god damn is it a riot to be there when he starts sweating profusely. DJ Sweaty Teddy - http://www.riverfronttimes.com/2002-08-28/news/sweaty-teddy/

Tony Patrico on 105.7 The Point DJ's weddings. I heard he is really good at it (he's on the radio every day so I'm sure he knows what he's doing) and reasonably priced, or was a few years ago. And I think he has pretty good taste in music outside of what they're forced to play on the air.

Have yet to run into one that is not retarded. Maybe it is the nature of things, don't know. I get people wanting to dance, but why does a wedding need an emcee? it isn't wrestling. Forgive me, never been married, just been to a shit ton.
Do any of you lovely ladies have any suggestions for cheap photographer, dj, or invitations?
