Jani -PeterField is absolutely correct. What I would do first is for my first short holiday is hire a caravan and tow it to where I want to spend say a week and see if thats actually what you want to do. Then you do a financial calculation to look at what you will spend financing a caravan over 5 years capital outlay plus finance charges againts for example staying two -three weeks a year in a chalet type accommodation at R1100 per night for say 21 nights and escalate you accommodation costs per year for a five year period at 15%

Try SOS Breakdown Service in Paarden Eiland. Ask for Stephen Cross (owner). They are a professional service, not a "vulture" setup like most of the other tow companies.
