Sadly, the nice and simple, but very functional and free invoicing offering I've been using over the last 2.5 or so years is disappearing at the end of the month.

I use xero.com. It's got good features and bad ... I like the interface. A lot of the reporting is quite basic.
Victoria K. replied:
XERO all the way! 1 month free trial, easy to customise and brand, £20 a month after that, unlimited users, includes the back. We also offer training if you need www.bellitsolutions.co.uk and we're based in Cwmbran
David G. replied:
I use Waveapps.com (free) for invoicing but it also does accounts and receipts too. Nice simple interface
Lee S. replied:
Sage have 40% off for 6 months. Can get Sage One Accounts for £6+VAT per month so cheaper than Xero and Freeagent. Accountants mostly interface with either Xero or Sage https://shop.sage.co.uk/sageoneaccounts.aspx?utm_source=sagecouk&utm_medium=sagecouk&utm_campaign=sagecouk_home
Emlyn D. replied:
Started using wave accounting, so much better than paymo for invoice and accounting https://www.waveapps.com/ as it links to your bank account. Actually quick file looks even better http://www.quickfile.co.uk as it can do UK VAT as well, doesn't look as sexy as wave though. Both are free to use and will always be free.

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good Cardiff-based accountant, preferably FreeAgent-friendly?
Ta!
Edit: I guess in retrospect doesn't actually need to be Cardiff-based...
Mike R. replied:
Not FreeAgent but Xero friendly.. Tim Robinson is very tech savvy and answers my emails within minutes (still don't know how he does it)
Victoria K. replied:
I can highly recommend our accountant! Victoria Williams (Williams Chartered Managed Accountants) based in Whitchurch, Cardiff 029 2062 1644www.williamscma.co.uk
Mark S. replied:
We use Freeagent and Neil Creswell from UHY Hacker Young does all our accounts. Once a year they login, get what they need and just get on with it, highly recommended. Let me know if you want an intro
Lauren B. replied:
Hi Ian, I'd be happy to help you! Although we specialise in Xero, I am very comfortable with Freeagents. Please visit our website: www.est-accountants.co.uk and let me know if you'd like to have a chat!
Hi. Can anyone recommend a decent cloud based accounting software and/or a decent local accountant?
Peter G. replied:
Phil Murphy
Mike R. replied:
Tony Roblin is pretty good
Suzanne H. replied:
Xero and EST Accountants.
Emlyn D. replied:
Wave accounting, its free, syncs to bank accounts and you can issue great invoices and estimates through it. We've been using it for 12 months now and its great! https://www.waveapps.com
Paul C. replied:
I use clearbooks.co.UK.
Emlyn D. replied:
As for accountants depends what you need, VAT? PAYE? Limited company?
Robert B. replied:
I'm 100% with FreeAgent:) It really takes the pain out of everything. Tried XERO too, it's just down to personal preference, which, for me, is FreeAgent. Trail accounts available on both. As for accountants, contact Lauren Megan Burt at EST Accountants. She handles Cardiff Start's accounts and has been more than helpful despite my moments of madness (and tardiness):p
Dave B. replied:
Definitely Tim Robinson, every time.
Lauren B. replied:
Thank you for the mention Steve, Suzanne & Rob! If you need any help, please feel free to give me a ring (www.est-accountants.co.uk)
