New to film photography! I wanted to get into film photography and had a few wauetions:
- what's the best place to buy a film camera? Not looking for anything too...
mkphelps replied:
For getting film to digital, I use a service called mpix.com they send you prepaid shipping bags so that you can put in up to 4 rolls of film at a time, and they will develop and create digital copies of your images for you to use online! It's fairly inexpensive too, I'll go check my last payment with them. Edit: each frame is 0.19 cents, so it depends on how many rolls you have. For example, I had 57 frames for one order, and total came to be $10.83

My favourite stores to look for cameras are [KEH](https://www.keh.com/shop/cameras/film-cameras/35 mm.html) and [Used Photo Pro](https://usedphotopro.com/products/usedcameras/used-slrs/used-film-slrs). Is there any specific type of camera you’re interested in? SLR, rangefinder, point and shoot, etc. And are there any requirements you have such as fully manual, fully automatic, or automatic with manual override? We can be a lot more helpful if you let us know your preferences
We are new to the area. Does anyone have any recommendations for the following: A pediatric dentist? A pediatrician or family practicioner who is respectful of...

We like Dr Sanders at Sanders/Weddell for dentistry. They're in Carmel. We like Fishers Peds but they are a vaccinating clinic. There are other moms here that might have other suggestions. The Monon in Carmel offers adaptive swimming. We have not used it though.

welcome! does your son attend public school? i would highly suggest The Monon Ctr in Carmel for swimming and special needs HC Special Olympic s is awesome here too Let me know how to help
Kristine L. replied:
Jane Grimes he's at the BACA. Thanks for the recs all! I love those pics of Bryce. Ben has his front two teeth which is super adorable and I want to go asap to get some professional photos. He's not cooperative with photographers so I can't just s chlep him down to Sears, if you know what I mean. Glad to hear about the Monon swim lessons- I was going to try them but sometimes these things can be a waste of time. I'm not interested in him being in a pool playing with a college student. I want him to learn to swim. Let me clarify about the doctor: I want someone who is going to be a consultant and not a dictator.
Jane G. replied:
Kristine Tracy Lewis sounds good....I'm a fan of BACA....Brooke Taflinger at the Monon ctr is who you want to talk to directly and it is actual swim lessons....not play.....she is awesome!
Laura R. replied:
Cassandra Medley is awesome and is a special need photographer, certified and all. Hard to find that! Her step son Noah goes to baca prep with our boys! So she gets it!!! Good luck on the dr search. I know of one south that is a family doc that ma fit the bill.
In memory of photographer Russ Beck, please donate to www.ALSA.org. Russ was such a great guy, who captured such great memories for me from my high school years.
