Can anyone recommend a good family gym in Carrollton/N Dallas area that isn't crazy expensive? Needing a basic gym with decent childcare (ages 6 & 2) thanks!

If you're a Carrollton resident check out the Rec center. It's really awesome and cheap. Not sure on childcare but they have lots of cardio and weights and run classes for all sorts of things. Worst case you can just leave your kids in the dog park while you work out. /s

I used to use that new Fitness Connection in Carrollton, it's off Marsh. They used to have a lot of new member specials for around $10/month, not sure if that's still possible but I only paid $20 (I only cancelled my membership because I moved). They have a childcare area, but I'm not sure of the ages they'll watch. I really liked it, it's huge and everything's brand new.

Texas Family Fitness childcare is $19/month for 2 kids. Not sure on regular membership. Be careful though, they have a F on BBB.

I know there's a Crunch Fitness on Beltline/Marsh thats probably 10-15 bucks but i don't know much about childcare.

24 Hour Fitness Castle Hills is good, has daycare. Should be $35-$45 a month Edit: Texas Family Fitness in The Colony is good too. 5 min north of 24 hr and has child care. I had it for $10 a month.

I've given this tip before and it doesn't apply to everyone, but lots of health insurance providers offer inexpensive, no-contract gym memberships that work at lots of different gyms.
