Does anyone have a suggestion for a birthday treat to bring to preschool that is nut free. We have two severe allergies in Meghan's class and I need to be really careful.
Courtney W. replied:
Cindy, this is a fantastic website. We have a child here at church that has a severe reaction to peanuts. His mom gave us this site and we shop from it anytime we do a church events. http://snacksafely.com/

Here is a big list for ideas too! http://www.allergysf.com/safety/candy/nuts/
Laura S. replied:
Rice Krispy treats! Are you allowed to bake? I can give you name brand mixes and safe baking instructions --both my girls have peanut allergies so this is my life! Lol
Laura S. replied:
Betty Crocker cake mix and either Betty Crocker or Pillsbury frostings are safe. Pillsbury mix should be safe too--just double check the ingredient list on everything since manufactureres can change plants! As long as you use baking cups and keep your kitchen free of any nuts before you bake--sanitize and clean really well---it should be fiine! Good luck!
Cary friends, can anyone recommend a great local daycare/preschool???
Melissa B. replied:
Salem Baptist Preschool. All of my kids went there, and we even joined the church about six months after Bailey had started there. The hours are from 9-12, though, so not full day daycare. Tammy Pressley is the director there.
Hello Cary Leads! A good lead would be a mom with Pre-K, PreSchool or Kindergarten school age kids.
A good referral can also be a decision maker for Preschools...
