Hi All,
Due to using undry wood, my heater smokes from all the kreosote build up on its walls and in the flue, thus:
1. ONLY use a good reliable source of dry wood....

I have never tried it but this is a product have seen advertised that stays in your heater for a few months to get rid of the soot etc. Have seen at Bunnings for around $40.Check out the link http://www.smartburn.com.au/

Not horsey but with the cold weather coming can anyone recommend a chimney sweep? And how much to get it done? We replaced our flue 2 winters ago and we always burn very...

yes, i agree with Ian Miller he is GREAT! He is like the most knowledgable man about everything do with wood heating. It is seriously what he lives for, I have never met someone that passionate about chimneys and heaters.
