This has happened to us every single year. It gets fixed every year. Jiffy and Able Electrical left us magnets. No advice on how to make the thing stay fixed. Maybe everyone's breaks every year? I think we ought to insulate or encapsulate the attic crawlspace but no one I've spoken to thinks that would make a diffeeence.

Not an HVAC guy but my friend is. He said he has enough side work and this is his recommendation: "Thermostat has o/b set up incorrectly. Save cash by googling how to switch reversing valve mode from energize to de-energize (or vice-versa depending which it is currently set for)." Good luck OP.

Checked the nest programming, make sure that O or reversion valve is set to O or orange, not B. If that doesn’t work call a company, I’d give you a recommendation but I work for a big one here and don’t want say anything that could be taken the wrong way.

Try Clean Air HVAC. Not sure what their residential side is like, but their commercial side is very knowledgeable. Worked with them on a 74 unit apartment building, so u know they can get it done. If not, try CA Klein.
