I personally use Brink MotorSports. They specialize in VW/Audi but work on other German makes. I've heard good things about Austin VeeDub, but haven't personally used them.

Northwest Imports. Great experiences with our out of warranty Audi. Plus they’re down the street from Audi Austin so getting covered work done is convenient.

Kenny Hill Autoworks. Just had a bunch of work done on my Jetta there. They specialize in Audi and VW. They are certified master mechanics. Can’t recommend them enough.

Capital city automotive. They used to be dealrship mechanics then set out on their own

I really like Dr. Beemer, they have done fantastic work with my 25 year old car and really know the cars well enough to fix the problems that need to be fixed the smarter way. For example, I had an issue with starting/moving in first gear when it was really hot (and been driving a while). They just replaced the transmission fluid with a high end one and it solved it, rather than needing a new transmission.

[German Auto Center](https://www.germanautocenter.com/) Had great experiences here, way cheaper than taking it to a dealership and they even wash your car before you pick it up.

I have brought my GTI to Northwest Imports since moving here 3 years ago. They are a great shop and an awesome group of mechanics!

I used Brink and they’re good at taking my money. Actually VW just gave it to them when they designed my shitty car.

I DON’T recommend you go to Dave’s (at least the south 1 st location). I was taking our Sprinter there for routine maintenance and asked them to check the rear diff because I had noticed a leak. They said they fixed said leak, but they did not. Rear end went out, cost a shitload, like $7 k to replace. I recommended Blackforest Werkshop. Good bunch of guys there

At first glance I was like "Why do the have to be German?"

I personally go to this auto shop that particularly works on German cars. It's located on 4420 North Lamar. The mechanics there fixed my Beamer last week.

I have not used them yet myself, but I've heard good things from some VW/Audi enthusiasts about Brink Motorsports.

Black Forest Werkshop. They're super friendly, the owner will sit down and chat with you, and they'll give you options on how to save.

Austin Veedub was the only place I'd take my Jetta when I had it. They were super nice and willing to work with me about pulling parts from the junkyard when I couldn't afford fixes. I *believe* they work on Audis as well.

Flamingo Automotive on Guadalupe is my go to place. They've been doing scheduled maintenance on my VW R32 for years. No complaints!
