Magic Your Bands is a great option as well if you already have bands. We used them and I was really pleased with the custom ones I was able to design myself. Then when we arrived at WDW we picked up our bands at the resort and got to apply the covers. They were awesome!
Okay y'all! I realize that this is a loaded ( and stupid ) question, so I apologize in advance! Even though I am an outrageous Disney fan, I have only been to WDW once,...

Here we go... - best time to go? November (preferably prior to the Thanksgiving crowd) this time is perfect with weather, everything is decorated for Christmas, and the crowds are low. Also, Disney usually offers a free meal plan option with the booking of one of their value resorts. - best place to stay? No matter what you do, stay on Disney resort. This gives you free transportation to and from the parks, dinning plan*, fast passes*, and extra magic hours*. My personal thoughts: look into staying at FortWilderness Cabins. This will give you a private space unlike a hotel but also enough space for you and all your boys. It even comes with a kitchen for cooking. This resort also has so much to offer for boys to do. - how long is a good trip? I would say a minimum of 6 to 7 days to get the full experience. At least 2-3 days in Magic Kingdom (there is just so much to see and do) and a pay per each of the other parks. Also, look into getting park hoppers. Some parks close early and you can always jump back to another park to spend the rest of your day. - payment plan? I am unsure about this, but a great saving idea is to tell family members about the trip and ask them to gift your boys on holidays and birthdays with Disney giftcards. This is an awesome way to save them souvenir money, but also give them a budget on souvenirs. - schedule meets? No ma'am, not directly. If character meets are a high priority, consider booking character meals. My personal favorite is Tucker's House in Animal Kingdom. Mickey, Goofy, Daisy, and Donald are all present and the food is wonderful! - where are the must eats? I'm going to take a guess at your style of food based on you living in Mississippi and I'm from Louisiana. Hoop De Doo Review (at FortWilderness) is a must do dinner experience. It is a comedy show mixed with some of the best home cooked fried chicken. Tony's in Magic Kingdom has wonderful steak and great view for the parades on Main Street. Tucker's House in Animal Kingdom is a great character breakfast. Closest thing to a southern style breakfast! - arm bands? Consider them your Disney IDs! All your reservations, fastpasses, PhotoPass, and room keys are linked to your arm band. You can also link a credit card to the arm band to make purchases easier in the parks. *fast passes: then let you have an hour window to attend a show or ride. You get 3 a day that you can pre-reserve use these on the popular attractions that your boys with love. *dinning plan: this makes the hassle of knowing how much to budge for food a breeze! Plus with reservations, you get to experience some of the most extravagant dinning experiences. The price of dinning plan (if you don't get it free with the special for the fall months) is worth it as many character meals are highly expensive if you try to pay out of pocket for them. *extra magic hours: each park offers extra magic hours either before or after normal hours to those staying on Disney resort. This lets you get to the park before the crowd and maybe ride 2-3 rides before the lines get long. Same goes for if the hours are extended in the evening. Highly recommend: PhotoPass! It's $169 prior to your trip. Basically every where you go, you will see a cast member with a camera, you get the to take your pictures and they scan them to your bracelet and you can access them online. This is really worth it with character meets as they take many pictures. Our last 7 day trip, we left with about a thousand photos of our kids' moments in the park. The best part is, you get to be in the moments as well instead of trying to take the photos yourself. Friend to friend note: plan a year ahead and start booking as soon as you can. Reservations and fast passes are at scheduled times. AllEars.net is an awesome website that breakdown everything for you! Please message me if you have any questions!
