I use these guys: [https://www.facebook.com/RandRheat/](https://www.facebook.com/RandRheat/) They've been great, extremely cost-competitive and the cleanest install I've ever seen with lots of small details included that other installers leave out (like the bend in the overflow P-trap is clear instead of white PVC). Brian, the owner, manages the Southern Belle also.
Systems should NEVER just need a recharge, so if you do then you have a leak. Occasionally it's fixable, but if you have a leak then you'll be back in the same position again. (Also they're not \_supposed\_ to charge a leaky system since that's basically the same as venting refrigerant into the open air, but most guys will.) But you're paying a lot of dollars per pound for something that'll leak out again soon.

If your system is a bit older or not optimally sized for your house, it simply may not be able to cool it sufficiently. An AC system can only cool down "x" degrees below the outside temperature. So if your system can only do a 20º F drop and it's 95º F outside, you will never get it below 75º F.
What are the outside temperatures at your house and what temperature will it not get down to ?
In the meantime, what you can try is keep curtains or blinds closed (at least those facing the sun, so you're not living like vampires !). Keep it running overnight where it can probably "catch up". If you have ceiling fans, make sure they're on "Summer" setting (if they're reversible for summer/winter).

McAfee Heating & Air has always done right by us. Also I highly recommend joining their members program that they call their "comfort club". It is very well worth it; 2 free seasonal inspections every year and discounts on pretty much everything. Being members of it has personally saved us several hundred dollars over the last couple years.

Look at the lines, see if they're freezing. See if the heat exchanger is blowing out heat. It's almost always just needing a recharge.
