Wondering if anyone can tell me the name of the restaurant on Pill Alley north of the alley on the east side. Was it Midway?
Dan G. replied:
Pill Row. Some called it Pill Road. At one time, there were two doctors offices and a dentist office in that little lane of small offices across from the Majestic and behind the gas station (owned by Bill Krapfel). My dad's first office was there. And Connor's pharmacy was on that corner. My dad moved farther down the road and shared an office first with dentist Dr. Martin, then with dentist Ed Kelly.
Jerry P. replied:
Midway Inn Grill??
Dan G. replied:
Midway Grill was two doors down from my Dad's office. That what it was when I was growing up.
Diane B. replied:
Jerry always called it pill alley but was pill row maybe. Was it Midway Grill? I remember a restaurant on that street. Maybe Midway Grill but don’t know who owned it.
