I do A/C and heating. If you have an older system it would take R-22 refrigerant, Which is like liquid gold given how expensive it is now. Depending upon the age of your unit and how bad the leak is,you might want to consider a new system. I'm going out of town this weekend, to help a friend move, So I don't know if I would go to help save you from this current heatwave
