Hi neighbors! Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite gym in the area? Obviously I know about LA in BP and Lifetime in Champlin... but what about the smaller gyms?...
Nicki J. replied:
Love Anytime Fitness! Michael Weber
Jessie H. replied:
Anytime Fitness -Champlin!!! Super friendly owners, really clean and well taken care of machines and equipment, on site trainers, classes/fitness challenges, no intimidation, always hop on a machine and go! You should check in out in person! Michael Weber

https://www.facebook.com/260667683956927 AnyTime Fitness-Champlin Mn This gym is awesome! Everyone (owners, trainers, staff, members) are very friendly. It's really more of a family there. I've met so many people at the gym this gym that I now consider friends. I don't live in the area but come to this Anytime specifically for the people, atmosphere and to see my trainer, Gabe Tandoh. It is by far the best gym I've been to in the area. As others have said above, there are a variety of other things to do at this gym as well such as fitness challenges, classes, yoga, and boxing.
Kristen G. replied:
Anytime Fitness - there is one in Brooklyn Park and Champlin. The one is BP is owned by an awesome couple that is super friendly, supportive of your workout goals and works to maintain a positive environment at the gym. They do a great job of ensuring the gym is super clean as well!
Marci S. replied:
I go to Anytime Fitness. What hours do you usually go? I have not been doing a lot with Fitbit. How is your MS? I'd be super pyched to figure out times that would fit. Neurologically challenged but unstoppable group:). I'm having DBS before the end of the year and plan to document me recovery
Marci S. replied:
In CHAMPLIN. Michael Weber is the owner. Have you thought of calling the MS society? They might have a grant you can apply for membership dues or personal trainer which I would recommend Adam Erwin
Steve M. replied:
Planet Fitness in Brooklyn Park. It is simple, great equipment, shower and lockers, open 24 hours and always staffed! It also less than Snap or Anytime Fitness.

Lemon Grass is the sushi place, go for the happy hour, by Caribou in Brooklyn Park, 252 and 85. Fat Nats is there also and it has great breakfast.

Kids Rack is a children/teen consignment shop, sort of like once upon a child but with better prices and payout if you sell stuff there. It's in the same strip mall as Ming Tree.
Bre B. replied:
The corn maze opens on September 20. Weekends only. On the corner of 169 and 109th. It's tons of fun. Kids Rack is a great kids consignment shop. Ace Hardware by the McDonalds is fantastic - lots of help and they have EVERYTHING. Remember that during your renovation. Lol. Library is right across from the liquor store off 120th. They have a great selection for kids, and if you're not familiar with the library reserve system they can walk you through it. If you get the app on your phone it's pretty sweet. You can have things from other libraries delivered there for you to pick up so it's quick and convenient. Q Fanatic is great BBQ, they were featured on the Food Network. And they serve Surly! There's a strawberry farm (Bauer's, I believe) down Hayden Lake Rd. Fun activity in the spring/early summer. Eidem Homestead in Brooklyn Park is awesome. So so cool. Check their website for activities and dates. It's like a turn of the century working farm. The employees wear period costumes, you can visit the animals, and tour the farmhouse. Reuan Thai in Osseo is great food. The Brooklyn Park community center has a lot of awesome programs/classes for kids and adults. Anoka has a lot of fun shops, including kids activities. MusikGarten for music lessons/classes, Lyric Arts theater for shows or workshops. Also, Millie P's quilt shop, Truffles and Tortes, Krista Artista Art Gallery, Grassroots Co-op, etc etc etc.
Buono Sera on West River Road is fine authentic Italian cuisine, a decent wine list, and a nice intimate atmosphere. Upscale and AWESOME.
Christine S. replied:
Welcome! I like Maverick's for great food and fun Trivia Night, El Toro, Cullen's, Bueno Sera, Lil' Bar, Lena's Tailoring, Osseo Butcher Shop, ECFE, MOM's Club, Advent Lutheran Church, Farmer's Market 9-1 Wednesday's, Truffles & Tortes in Anoka.
Leanna B. replied:
Earth Exchange is a great thrift store just north of Osseo, off of Hwy 610 and Zachary Lane. Technically in Maple Grove, but really close to Champlin. Also sell brand new furniture and mattresses. You can receive in-store discounts for donations, too. Nice independently run company.
Looking for a beginners yoga class. Preferably not at a gym. Any suggestions?
Pat B. replied:
Groupon has some good deals once in a while, check there. Or go to city websites and see it there is anything in Park and Rec. Or Omni Brewing and other brewery's do yoga classes occasionally.

Twin cities ortho in Maple Grove has free yoga classes for all levels, and the best part is you do NOT need to be a patient of theirs to attend the classes. All the info is on their website tcomn.com
