Morning! Any recommendations for a reliable family practice doctor? The hospital just isn't cutting it. I've had 3 doctors in the past month and they've all left island

I used them for many years but when Dr. Mark Livingston opened his own practice I followed him and couldnt be happier!!! He is far and away the best doctor i have ever seen and I can truly say that for the first time in my life I feel like i am getting the best medical care possible. I am not sure if he is taking new patients or not (i know a few months ago he wasnt) but if you can get in there you should do so. my expirience at Red Hook Family (and bear in mind this was a few years ago as I said) was that i never was never garunteed that I would be seeing the same physician as i did last time, not only did I find that not all the doctors were of equal quality but I often felt like i was starting over from scratch each appointment. There was one doctor there (and I don't know if he is still there) that gave me some very bad advice that actually made my condition worse. Just my expierence - hope that it helps.

I would like to find out what the deal is with Medicaid. My daughter is a student at UVI and has Medicaid from our home state of Louisiana. I have been unable to find out if she can use it locally or not. I went to the new hospital and they only had a Medicare office and said the Medicaid office was on the site of the old hospital. But local directions being what they are, I made five failed attempts to find the place before I had to leave the island. Now every time I call the number posted online, I get a broken recording that loops back to the beginning no matter what option I choose. My daughter would like to sort this out because apparently going to Health Services at UVI isn't worth the fees they charged us for student insurance. Any ideas?
