Who remembers The Top of the Arch, an upscale restaurant on the top floor of Iles Park Place? I went there for prom one year.
Don H. replied:
I got to know George & His brother! Had great Dinners & Lunch at T.o.T.A!! Used to have our Electricians' shop dinner there, every Christmas!! Super host, one of the Best! G.C. is still around town!--Like Mike Royko used to write,: "If you want a great restaurant, make sure a Greek runs it"!! True, that!
Teresa J. replied:
George was fun to work with. Worked with him many times at Arena Food Service. My dad ended up with some of the stuff from the Top of the Arch.
Dewey R. replied:

Michael F. replied:
George Christofilakis was the perfect host. A perfect gentleman and quick with a joke too. He was there until the late 80 s at least.
Karen F. replied:
Don Hudson - Bill Fifer's wife here. Yes, I remember Top of the Arch. Unhappy to see all of Iles Park Pace so empty now. Used to be THE place - doctor offices, all kinds of businesses. Golden Bear.
Don H. replied:
The Revenue Dept. of Illinois had an office there, too!--{ Lots of cute gals did lunch there}, (I am told)? ISP, FOID cards were issued there, first Floor??-- too! Still,-- was a Great Dining establishment!!
I'm still looking for a good restaurant with an occasion room something with an affordable menu I've gotten a few good suggestions but I need some more

Golden Dragon is still in business. Had to shut down for a few months while the owner/chef had rotator cuff surgery.
