It would be out of your way, but we love Hwy 58 Animal Hsp - it's not a fancy place but I worked there many years ago and have nothing but good things to say and we have had (snd still have) a lot of babies. If Dr. Conley is working at all at Red Bank he is wonderful as well, but I dont like the other vets. Jill Fowler may have good recommendations - Wolftever (in Harrison as well though) or Ashlnd Terracenor others. Yes I would have records faxed when you decide.
Gail L. replied:
Allison Gussack at Vet2Go! She comes to you!! And is great with our pitbox, hound mix, husky/shepherd & cat! They love her!!!! Riverview is good but has gone up considerably in cost. Another great & inexpensive vet is Northshore Vet. She's on Cherokee Blvd, between Sluggo's & Ziggys.
Candy G. replied:
The gals close to you at East Brainerd Veterinary Clinic have always been very nice. I used them when I lived over there. They were very caring about our animal children.
Mary W. replied:
we adore our vet she comes to us for same cost less than ashland terrace https://www.facebook.com/vet2 go she is great and used to work with shawn's heather at middle valley
Shannon D. replied:
Jon - if Oscar is healthy and all you need are annual shots you may want to check with Pet Smart. I know they have clinics there a couple Saturadys a month with knowledgeable vets. For sick fur babies I like the guys on Ashland Terrace - reasonably priced, friendly and they have been know to allow people to make installment payments on really costly vet bills
Alexis T. replied:
Dr. Conley Red Bank animal hospital. If I have EVER (15 years now) been low on funds, he's always let me make payments (if its something unexpected) and he's an exceptional veterinarian. I've also heard the clinic on Cherokee (where Eric Nelson works) is good too. Never heard of Vet2 go but I'm going to check them out. I have a 14 year old English Pointer mix that can't travel too well anymore. Good luck, dear!
Andrew A. replied:
I also use Red Bank Animal for my cats and they have always been exceptional.
Carla S. replied:
RED BANK ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS THE BEST! My friend Angela Westmoreland Johnson works there, she can help you!
Could you recommend a good veterinarian? I just got a six week old kitten, and he will be needing his first round of shots soon, so I hear.
n0ia replied:
I took my cat to [Chattanooga Cat Clinic](http://www.chattcatvet.com/) for shots and for neutering. They only provide service to cats and work together with Wally's Friends to spay/neuter the local feral cat colonies to prevent them from spreading. (There is actually a feral cat colony that lives behind their building.) I've also used their boarding services twice and was very pleased.
warsd4 replied:
Dr. Carter at East Brainerd Animal Hospital. He found our dog's cancer after another vet missed it. They are awesome there.
SaluteYourShorts replied:
McKamey Animal shelter took good care of my cat when I had her first shots and got her fixed. And it's inexpensive. As for more intense operations, I'm not certain.
KineticSolution replied:
They aren't the cheapest clinic in town but Animal Medical Professionals out in Ooltewah are a top notch outfit.
SyKoHPaTh replied:
Animal Care Center of Ooltewah 9124 Amos Road, Ooltewah, TN (423) 238-9005 ~~Very good with animals - just took my 3 cats into there. They were the cheapest of all the other options in the area as well.~~

If you're not too far from GA, [VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital](http://www.vcahospitals.com/catoosa) is wonderful.

Riverview on N. Market was ranked #1 in Chat and I would have to agree. We take our dogs there, and everyone is always fantastic. Our Boston almost died after ingesting a bunch of pills, but he's fine now. We also board them there. THey have an AMAZING facility.
Vet recommendations? Our little cat isn't doing well and needs to go to the vet. I usually avoid vet visits at all costs because I always feel like I'm being swindled....

I take my cats to Standifer Gap Animal Clinic. One of my cat has weird allergies mixed with problems with OCD and they are great with him.

Northgate Animal Hospital was, in my experience, very good. We've tried 4 other vets in this area, and they were the only ones that impressed us.
Sparkle_Titsworth replied:
I'm a big fan of Dr. Ligon at East Brainerd Animal. He's a second gen vet and I never feel forced to buy services. All around good people!

Dr. Miller at North shore vet has very fair prices.

[Dr Linderman.](http://standifergapvet.com/) I worked with her when PetCo used her as a vet, and she truly goes above and beyond without draining your bank.

I take my animals to Gunbarrel animal hospital. They're friendly and I've never felt like I was overpaying for their amazing service. Also, there's an animal hospital on the North Shore that is nice, although a bit pricier.
lovelyfaery replied:
I know I'm late to the party, but the most caring vet I have ever worked for is Dr. Dickinson of Animal Medical Professionals of Ooltewah. His prices are reasonable but what strikes me the most is his love of the animals. He's wonderful. Hope your kitty is doing better!
Gabiscuit replied:
East ridge animal hospital is pretty great. They always give an estimate before doing anything big, are great about talking over the phone, and have reasonable prices.

AnonOfDoom replied:
The Cat Clinic on Cherokee would definitely take care of a rat. Possibly permanently.
Watsittuya replied:
I would check with East Ridge Animal Hospital. I don't know if they do rats but they are the only vet I know that takes care of Hedgehogs.
Pm_me_your_Teas replied:
When I was a child I had several exotics and went to a place on lookout mountain. I don't remember the details but hopefully that points you in the right direction.
Dem_Kitties_Doe replied:
It's also worth it to call the vet offices near you and just ask if any of the vets have experience with exotics, because you may never know by only looking at their websites. When I was at Riverview Animal Hospital in Northshore, one of the vets there did a little surgery on a turtle.
Well the greatest vet around here passed away in 2014,Dr. James C. Weatherly. However, the lady vet who took over Lee Parkway Veterinarian Hospital is excellent. The staff love, love, love animals!

Cat Clinic: I’ve been going there for about three years. I’ve taken 4 different cats to their location and don’t have any complaints. I’m not familiar enough with rates to say whether or not they’re cheaper or more expensive than other locations though. The staff is professional and the veterinarian explains the entire process to you as she works with the cat. She’ll also make you feel like you’re cat is the most beautiful cat she’s ever seen. “Oh look at these markings. She’s beautiful.”

Chattanooga R. replied:
We use Dr. Neal at East Brainerd Animal Hospital (or Dr. Carter or Dr. Revelle-they are all wonderful bully vets)! We love them-and our rescue alone has given them plenty of bully experience, trust me!! ;) Their phone number is 423-894-0028. Welcome to Chattanooga!
