Weis Pediatric Dentistry is awesome! Very patient & only do what the child is comfortable with. My son has panic attacks at the dentist but they really work with him, calm him down & aren't pushy.

Children's Dental World on Portsmouth Blvd. They are amazing with kids!!
Michelle D. replied:
Children's Dental World is great! They are wonderful with my kids & have helped them overcome their fear of the dentist. We used to go to Weis (had no issues with MetLife/Tricare issues) but we were not happy there with the dentist my children saw.
Lisa C. replied:
We use lwssfamilydentistry.com. Don't know about insurance but they are great. Office is in N Suffolk.
Patty D. replied:
Dr Lang / McClung on Portsmouth Blvd. I have MetLife and they accept it.

Dr Laurie Birsch does take it, but they are not in network and give a military discount so it works out as if they are in network. I recommend Dr Laurie Birsch to anyone very awesome staff!!
Sherry B. replied:
I have taken my kids for the last 11 years to Dr. Hamlin in ghent. We are a military family with tricare and have never had a problem. Also, my son has Cerebral palsy and severe mouth sensitivity and the staff there is wonderful.

Barbara I agree with your friend Jill. I don't know all about holistic aspects but think Drs. Kent would do well. And in addition, Mathew Kent is my son in law. His dad Dean Kent treated Mary and her daughters for years.

Recommendation for pediatric dentist for filling a 6 year old's cavity that takes our CPS insurance....and go!
Rachel G. replied:
I take Emily to Greenbrier Dental. I love them. She's never had a filling though, just regular check ups. I go to Thomas and Thomas and I love them for my teeth, but Greenbrier dental is my top pick for kids.

We go to Dr. Simmons and love him and his staff, but he doesn't do fillings for the little guys.

Lwss off 1 st colonial has a wonderful pediatric dentist Dr. Elleni Kapoor. Elliott (7) had to have a tooth pulled and cavities filled and a spacer put in and she and her helpers were wonderful for all the visits. Very sweet and child friendly. (757) 436-1270
Kim L. replied:
Dr. Hasty on Battlefield. We tried a few different places until we found one that was good to the kids and had a polite front office to deal with the grown-ups. Dr. Plauka's office was the worst...very rude and difficult to work with. Hasty's office is great. The girls and I love them there!

Anything but Kool smiles! They always want to put caps on the kids teeth, especially targeting kids with Medicaid. They have been on the news, and every parent I know who has gone there always ends up leaving for this exact reason.
