For my electrician friends....how many volts are supposed to come into a house? Apparently we have 251 volts coming in and it's blowing up our HVAC unit. Thanks!!

I think it's 220, then it gets distributed, but your HVAC runs on the 220 I used a great electrician last week, I only had 6.9 volts coming in to the house and nothing would work.. I don't understand it like Scott apparently because of the leg thing, but it the legs have something to do with the distribution I think.. Electrical Solutions and Services... They were reasonable and helpful, told me everything the best they could.
