Dr Hult is a homeopathic allergist in Mchenry. Just went to him yesterday and he was great! No needle pricks or anything invasive! He's so good he has a 6 month wait for an appointment. I booked my appt for in April but was called in a couple weeks to come in because of a cancelation.

Thank you for the recommendations! I'm going with a doctor Chrissy recommended whom her husband Godfrey thought was brilliant -> Dr. Standage. I think doctors know other good doctors. Breathing is something I totally took for granted, until now that I can't catch my breath. I go on Tuesday! Yay! Really for a fix!

3 year old with pretty bad congestion..needing to see a pediatric allergist near or around Evanston..Any recommendations?
Debi L. replied:
Rachel Story via North Shore system is great. She may not be listed as a pediatric specialist, but she worked at Lurie in that capacity for years.
Melissa S. replied:
I second Dr Schafer, both of my kids see her for allergys.
Alison S. replied:
We also recommend Dr. Murthy, her partner, Dr. Chou, and their office staff/nurses. It's really important to love those nurses because once you start the shots, you'll be interacting with them more than the doctors. If there are no problems, you will only need to see the doctor once a year. Also, I cannot say enough about the benefits of allergy shots in general. The shot have made such a difference for my son. Good luck!
Ascher L. replied:
could be dietary issues too. Contact Marla Brodsky (dietician) at Luscious Life Nutrition 773-330-8275.

Amy S. replied:
Dr. Donnell. He's one of the most highly regarded pediatric allergists. We went to an ENT at Evanston and he was impressed we saw Dr. Donnell. A real mensch, too. Never had a problem getting an appt. close to home. http://www.chicagofamilyasthma.com/
Mindy W. replied:
Love Alan Resnick in Highland Park
Stacy G. replied:
Go to Rachel Story at Evanston Hosp. I've seen immunologists all over the US and she is the best in my opinion. I do believe she works with children and adults. I'm a tough nurse critic too.

Any recommendations for a good allergist in Chicago?? Preferably one who's good with food allergies...
Steve S. replied:
Carrie saw one that was relatively useless despite supposedly being "great". It was her: http://health.usnews.com/doctors/leslie-grammer-18900 Obviously judgement may vary based on experience, but she didn't even express any *interest* in Carrie's really unique condition (allergies to some meat / fish that we can't seem to pin down) let alone any help whatsoever in helping her figure out what might be going on.
Karen P. replied:
Dr. Lisa Sullivan
Alisha L. replied:
Dr. Newhall and Dr. Donnell. I could not recommend these two more than any doctor I've met in my life. They are amazing with good allergies! Amazing people, too. http://www.chicagofamilyasthma.com/
Does anyone have a pediatric allergist in the Chicago area they recommend? Thanks!
Jen K. replied:
Hi Ours does pediatric and adult, and is very good with the kids. He is right next to Children's in the city, so we can go there for blood work. We see Dr. Donnel, but I have also met his partner, and she is fantastic. She spoke once at a MOCHA meeting, and it was so informative. I have referred a couple of friends to them and have gotten great feedback. Message me if you want to hear me gush about him some more!! http://chicagofamilyasthma.com/

Dr Ann Collier. She is with Oak Brook Allergist. They have a few different locations, we go to the Plainfield location. Love her!

We are moving to the southwest suburbs of Chicago in January and I need to find an allergist for my PN/TN daughter. Do any of you have any recommendations? I am willing...
Tamara H. replied:
We love our allergist! She is out of Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. I believe they have other suburban locations too. Her name is Rachel G. Robison. Anyone within that practice (Lurie Children's Pediatric Allergy and Immunology) is good and comes highly recommended....from a top US allergist! Their practice does food allergy research/trials in our area, so they know the newest of the new. Hope that helps!
Danielle B. replied:
Dr Sakina Bajowala
Becky R. replied:
Dr Aaron Donnell & his partner with Chicago Asthma & Allergy. They are in the city, but completely worth the drive if you're willing. When we left Chicago, we were devastated to leave such a fantastic practice. And still haven't found anyone to measure up.
Lea T. replied:
Dr. Tim Brown at Associated Allergists. They work out of several different locations. He is great and came highly recommended from the food allergy group I belonged to.
