I looked up the name Pittenger in the 1928 city directory. I found Harry Pittenger (spelled "Pittinger" in the directory) listed as "auto repair" at 36 W. Water, with a residence at 250 Cherry St. The repair shop doesn't seem to have had a business name, but I looked in the database of the McKell Library for anything related to the name Pittenger, but only found a couple references to a "Camp Pittenger" from 1954 and someone named Pittinger on the Mead Central Research bowling team in 1963.

It was a bar before 1975. I'm pretty sure 36 W. Water was either the Pastime Cafe or B&B Tavern in the 1950 s.
