Ali at Max Beauty is amazing! I'd never let anyone touch my brows until going to her and now would never go elsewhere (even tho I've moved out of Halswell). Couldn't recommend more highly

Seconding the UoC psychology team, but I wanted to add that if you’re a student/have a benefit/have a community services card WINZ will cover up to $60 a week to pay for it (so for example, for me mine is $180 fortnightly it’s only $60 out of pocket.) I know cost is always really stressful when it comes to finally seeing somebody so just as a heads up!!

All the best! If I was to recommend someone (always cautious about that; everyone's needs are different) it'd be Martin Visser http://www.visser.net.nz/martin/ Remember that sometimes, the first one you try is a bit of a dud, and you may have to try again until you find someone that works well for you.

Psychologists are very different to counsellors and therapists, one is a protected professions with yeeeaarrss of intense study and the others aren't. You can go to the [University of Canterbury Psychology Centre](http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/science/research/psychology-centre/) and they have a range of amazing psychologists there. If you opt to have clinic psychology student involvement in your sessions you both reduce the price you pay and contribute towards the training and education of future psychologists.
