Buttercups Preschool in St Martins/Cashmere. Friendly, caring staff. Provide all food and alterations to allow for allergies/intolerances was dealt with really well. Smallish outdoor area compared to some preschools. Caters for 2-5 year olds. Very clean. Would recommend.

You need to visit a few to get a feeling for what feels right for you and your child. There are some that provide meals, some that only do sessions, some that you have to provide your own lunch box. My son goes to The Nurtury on Awatea Rd and I love it. They have a farm with goats m,rabbits,ducks,a kunekune pig that they take the kids too,they have a garage converted into a gym so on rainy days the kids can still run around a lose energy,they do heaps of things, all food and snack are provided. I recommend it.

As well as New Brighton Healthcare on Union Street, there is also QEII Medical Centre on the corner of Bower & Rookwood, and Travis Medical Centre on Travis Rd near the QEII grounds. We started ballet at the hall on marshland road behind the bp. Monday avo 330 pm. We've now switched to a class in fendalton because the day/time suited better. Patricia Paul is the name of the ballet school - they do one in Brighton too but not sure when.

keas is school years 1-3. i used to take my then toddler and baby to the Chch school of gym, they are happy for you to bring the bubs down with you On the floor, the coaches are great. There is also tumble times at Cowles stadium during term time check the CCC website. Also another great Facebook group is The Chch under 5 collective, you can post questions about these sorts of things and mums throughout Chch help out with tried and tested suggestions!

Unsure about the learning tree preschool, but my two boys aged 3 & 4 go to the Lighthouse Preschool on Balcairn. Near Oaklands School. Highly recommend they charge $6.50 per hr with 20 hours free from aged 3. http://www.thelighthousepreschool.org/
