I've done a riding trip in Iceland and in Ireland. Both were such an incredible time. The operator I worked with for Iceland was Ishestar and I would and have recommended them to anyone! I did a Northern Lights tour in October several years ago and while we did miss out on seeing the northern lights (weather didn't cooperate), the riding was an absolute blast and the food and accommodations were wonderful. I've been toying with the idea of doing the same ride again. The Ireland trip was even longer ago and I booked through Cross Country International, which I'm not certain even exists anymore. However it was a similarly wonderful experience, with a lot of riding and my horse was fantastic. I've had excellent luck with the horses I was assigned and always felt safe without being bored. When I window shop for riding tours, I like to look at Equitrekking. I also know someone who is currently working at Monte Velho Equo Resort in Portugal and it comes with absolutely rave reviews. This one is also on my short list, especially if you are a dressage rider: https://www.montevelho.pt/equitacao_en.html

Ireland- Castle Leslie was a fabulous trip. Lovely and in horse country on thousands of acres, and the human amenities are nice too. ;) I had a wonderful time riding there, lots of lovely horses.
