"Opossum and Friends" from Green Camp, Ohio Being both a songwriter and wildlife rehabilitator can have strange consequences,…..and Steve Moore, …during his 25 years of doing local wildlife rescue/rehab work, and writing a few songs about opossums, was branded with a nickname that stuck. He is a local performing singer/songwriter, writing, singing, and playing his homegrown, organic “trance-folk” music and stories to a broad audience. His all-original poetic, engaging songs have captivated many audiences from coffee houses, churches, bars, union halls, festivals, fundraisers, and living rooms. Being described as having his finger on the pulse of the common man, his original songs like “Auto Plant,” “Marion”, “Into the Woods,” “Anything,” and “Without Warning,” speak of work, love, life, and the planet Earth. In addition, he has had three songs produced and recorded by nationally-renowned Austin producer and Americana artist Gurf Morlix. These songs include his ballad “Marion,” which celebrates his childhood in our community. This hometown song has enjoyed quite a lot of local airplay and interest, and his album “Without Warning” is receiving great reviews. Another unique aspect of this artist is that 100% of all of the proceeds of all Opossum’s performances go into his “Winds of Good” fund and are donated to grass-roots non-profits and charitable causes. To date, ….$15,985.82 has been raised from performances and donated from this fund. For a complete donation history, see the “Winds of Good” fund on the blog section of the music site: http://www.reverbnation.com/opossumsongs Thanks so much ! “A song has no value... until it is given away to the wind.” – Opossum Opossum and Friends is: Steve Moore – Vocals and Guitar, Kristi Sue Moore – Harmony Vocals and Percussion, Joe (Doctor Joe) Float – Bass Guitar and Banjo For all booking, including house concerts and venue shows, contact Dee Schwartz at (740) 360-2738 Opossum & friends | Folk from Green Camp, OHFolk | Green Camp, OHREVERBNATION.COM|BY EMINORDoris Dee Caserta SchwartzLike · · ShareOpossum's PlacePortia's CafeJanuary 13 at 5:59 pm · Vegan friends..........We are an established singer/songwriter folky acoustic vegan musical thing....we play homegrown, organic, "trance-folk"..............AND.......we play only original songs with many being songs that address vegan issues. Do any of you know where I can get hair bands in bulk? It's always a pain to go buy up all the hair bands at Wal-Mart when they are considered seasonal.

Looking for recommendations for a great Cleveland wedding band or dj. Venue is on the smaller size, so bands would need to be five people or less. Thanks!

Chris Chris Judah-Lauder has a lot of resources for middle school. I use them and I and the children love them. Look at the materials on book 4 and 5 of music for children. Really good stuff for older kids. Good Luck !

buying a gong:
I'm interested in purchasing a gong for my general music classroom... any suggestions on size/brands?? I saw Rhythm Band has some (with stands I think)...
Warren A. replied:
uh, no. If you're going to get a gong, get a good one. Medium small and that doesn't ring too long. Chau Gong 16 or 20 inches or a little more but not too much more, you don't want it huge
Pat B. replied:
I paid about $75 for a gong and it's not at all what I was hoping it would be. It doesn't shimmer and the sound doesn't last. Big disappointment. You were smart to post here first. The one I got is similar to this one: http://www.amazon.com/inch-Wind-Gong-Stand-Mallet/dp/B00726J2JA/ref=sr_1_60?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1412974181&sr=1-60&keywords=gong+with+stand
