As a Buffalonian, we love to zip down to Cleveland. Two Must Sees: Restaurant Row on EAST 4TH ST (right near Quicken Loans Arena) and the beautiful, landmark WEST SIDE MARKET (Open daily; now open Sundays noon - 6 pm.) Lots of cool restaurants in that neighborhood, too. YUM-O! I found lots of variety for my various nutritional limitations. www.WestSideMarket.org.

To anyone that may have extra time Northeastern Ohio is beautiful wine country with some great family wineries....my personal favorite Chalet Debonne in Madison Ohio....

Remember to plan ahead for dining because the NBA Finals are in CLE on Friday 6/10 and AHL Calder Cup Finals on Saturday, 6/11. Lots of basketball and hockey fans in Believeland next weekend.

Joanne Where on God's green earth do restaurants close on Saturday and Sunday? The weekend is the best revenue generator of any restaurant.

There are quite a few places to eat in the downtown area, pizza places, CVS pharmacy and the Food Network chef Michael Symon has several restaurants in the area.

I'm guessing he was just mentioning the CVS to be helpful. Near the convention center, I think Helio Terra is your best option on a weekend. Heinens, the grocery store downtown, also has a lot of vegan friendly "grab and go" options.

I got food from this place last year twice and it was soooo good. Probably the best food I've had while at a con. It's right across from the con center and you can order online then run to pick it up!! emporioameatballjoint.com

Doubletree. Holiday Inn is across the street, and the road can be a little hectic to cross, so cross in large groups if possible

For a few years I always used Holiday Inn across the street. But then I had trouble getting a non-smoking room. And when I had to settle for a smoking room 2 years ago, it aggravated my asthma. (Thankfully they were able to switch to a less offensive smoking room.) So last year I tried the hotel across the bridge, Hotel Somerset Bridgewater. All rooms non-smoking and we got a mini fridge. I was very pleased and booked again for this year.

They sell them at Office Max and sometimes even Starbucks. As far as I know, the older ones won't work any more. I had to buy a new reader at a con to replace one of the older, thicker ones that was made obsolete by an update.
