COMIC ARTISTS, I NEED INPUT ON BOOK PRINTING COMPANIES.
-I used to print my comics with lulu publishing, but they recently ruined a bulk order, took forever to get back...
Shawn D. replied:
https://www.racomicsdirect.com We've done my drawing book through them they are great. But didn't need perfect bound so not sure on the charge cost there. Had our books (100) within a week.
Emily R. replied:
NyanFire does more sizes than Ka-blam and I believe they're prefect bound. http://komorebi-japan.com/nyanfire/en/ It's not ideal, but I was comparing my copy of Love Metal to one of my "manga sized" comics from ka-blam and it looks like it would size down pretty decently if you're in a pinch. I really love Ka-blam's quality.
Amanda W. replied:
http://www.grekoprinting-comixwellspring.com/square-bound-paperbacks/ I have my graphic novels done by these guys. They are fast and affordable (and based in my home state of MI, which is nice) I'm not sure about custom sizing, but check them out and send them a message. :) Good luck!
Maegan M. replied:
There's some new companies I haven't heard of, I'll be interested in trying them out too-- I'd try a proof from thebookpatch.com and see how you like it? They did the chapter 1 TWND comic books.
Matthew N. replied:
We used Four Color Print group for our books. Anyone who has a copy of Shards vol 1 can attest to the quality.
What printers do you use for short run graphic novel printing? I'm looking to re-order a small quantity of two of my trades (probably only 50 - 100 copies of each) but...
Julianna P. replied:
I haven't printed anything huge with them, but I've been pleased with Ka-Blam Digital Printing in the past. Not sure how their prices for trades compare to other folks...I've only printed stuff with low page count with them so far.
Alison C. replied:
My sister used https://www.createspace.com/ for her graphic novel. you can order as many or few as you want.
Michelle S. replied:
Dunno who you were using before, but I've used RA Comics Direct twice now for my comics and have had a good experience all around!:) I especially like their super-fast turnaround time. https://www.racomicsdirect.com/racomicsdirect/
Liz S. replied:
Seconding CreateSpace. Their file submission drives me up the wall but the price for black and white is great. Pretty expensive for color though, just like most places!
María R. replied:
You can also google local POD or Digital offset printers. I print in PA with Keness.com. It'll all depend on how much you know about sending original printing files and the quality you're looking for for price. I'm also trying to remember this other Ka-Blam like place I've used, but the name escapes me right now. Fast and acceptable quality for the price.
Workin' on my comic today ;) Just a little left before I can get my 3rd volume printed! Does anyone have suggestions on a good comic book printing company?
Kelly T. replied:
I really loved https://www.facebook.com/149639378428975 RA Comics Direct very professional and FAST !

Overnightprints.com
Sheila W. replied:
I've used both Moo and CatPrint, and both have great products! CatPrint offers foil and holographic stock. Would NOT recommend Overnight Prints. I've seen first hand one of my friends' order that were printed by them and it was awful. She only received part of her order, the rounded corners were unevenly cut, (none of them matched) they were cut slightly off so that a sliver of someone else's design showed up on the sides, AND she received a pack of someone else's cards. After all that, when she reached out to their customer service, they only offered a small discount on her next order as an apology.
I think I have probably asked this....
but....
Where can I get a banner like this made?
Rewynd W. replied:
Depends on if you want fabric or vinyl. For vinyl, you can just print a banner from your printer of choice - GotPrint / UPrinting / etc. Just format it so your logo is "at the bottom" of the banner. Most tables are 26-30" tall, just keep that in mind. For fabric, you could do custom printing with Spoonflower or get it printed from places like BannerBuzz, 4Imprint, Esigns, etc. Vinyl printed would probably be the best bet - WAY cheaper, and you can keep it rolled so it won't get all wrinkled.
Marie T. replied:
I got mine here: https://www.bannerbuzz.com/ they were fast and very affordable.
Stephanie S. replied:
I got my runner at bestofsigns.com and was happy with it.
I don't know if this is aloud here but if not feel free to remove. But I have a question for people that work with fabric. I am making a cosplay and need a special print...
Amanda P. replied:
spoonflower fabricondemand dpi-sf.com are the only websites i know that advertise custom fabrics
Diana W. replied:

Can anyone recommend a (reasonably priced) clear vinyl die-cut sticker printing service that offers multiple designs in a batch? Zap is too far out of my price range
Kelsey R. replied:
Alternatively, Tristan Clark can do custom stickers for artists~ You can message their art page https://www.facebook.com/601281103274867 Art by Lucky Little Starling
Melanie H. replied:
Stickergiant.com but they have large minimums. They're great quality and even do glow-in-the-dark!
Hey folks! Sticker question
I got some samples from Stickermule last week, and while I love their prices and their option and their quality, I DON'T like the finish....
Margaret T. replied:
I haven't upgraded from my Avery sticker yet (haven't restocked in a while either). Besides Stickeryou that I've checked out a few years back. Right now I'm checking out clubflyers.com since they just started offering stickers. I've already requested for a sample of only a few of my current stickers just to give me an idea. I already buy my business cards from them and love their prices, quality & shipping time. So I'll let you when they come in how I like them.

If you don’t have a local shop that’s worth a damn try catprint.com.
Stacey M. replied:
I'm on the same boat, I live far away but I found an online printing shop called "best value copy." They charge a few cents per copy and if you apply the promo code which is located on the main website you could get 50 copies free with your first order. The only bad part is the shipping cost. I've tried them for my first prints and they are great! https://www.bestvaluecopy.com

Victoria K. replied:
I printed some trading cards from https://www.thegamecrafter.com/ a while ago. Both side color, only one design for the back and as many as you want on the front. It printed a bit dark (but all my stuff always prints dark) and the upload manager is a bit wonky, but the quality was pretty solid. I would definitely order from them again.
