Sorry if this is a little off topic but anyone here know of a vet in the CLE area who is against declawing cats and knowledgeable about why the procedure is so harmful?

Really? That's disappointing to hear.........vet who used to own it is still in Tremont. Tremont Animal Clinic.
Jen K. replied:
Thanks everyone. Please share info soon if you can. Cleveland.com is going to do a story about a new law in NJ that will make it illegal to declaw cats. They want a local opinion on it and I feel like a vet will have a lot more credibility than a local AR group.

I'd suggest inquiring with Dr. Elizabeth Feltes at https://www.facebook.com/126013630752698The Behavior Clinic; Animal Behavior of Northeast Ohio, LLC (http://www.thebehaviorclinic.com/). She's a veterinary behaviorist so will also have extensive knowledge on the behavior ramifications of declawing.

Also, check https://www.facebook.com/78540234601The Paw Project for great resources. Here is their list of vets by state who do not declaw: http://www.pawproject.org/no-declaw-vets/#a-O.

The Cleveland A.P.L (216) 771-4616 is only $10 for male and females but you'll need to use a Cleve address and I was told they don't check anymore. they do clip the corner of their ear since its really for their tnr program. if you know anyone in Medin a I took mine to Quick Fix (330) 558-1540 and I think they're still running the $10 but you have to show Medina I.d.. also Porter in N.Olmsted is good (440) 777-0888 males are only $25 and $45 females. which may be closest to you if your in Lorain, I looked for months and couldn't find any cheap vets/specials there except 4Pets which is horrible so I would not recommend going there.
