Sonya Brown My dad is a good reasonable priced mechanic look him up on fb BB Generator and Repair service. He's lives in Clinton so he may work something out for ya. This would be my first choice.Frankly, I don't care what they tell you. It is about time/labor and parts. That is how they make their money. So, I would ask them to loo up the Tune-up" in their book or online and show you what the labor/time is and what the parts are. (Keep in mind, they get them for less because the are a business you know wholesale/vs retail." When I was on my own and had to pinch every penny I used A gentleman over off Gray Street near Lovett Elementary. He did great work, however it took longer, and that eventually proved to be too much f an inconvenience. So, I would recommend the guy who's daughter recommended him.

Phillip P. replied:
Morris is good Clay Cooley is good Tommy and Brian Oberhausen can fix us up. The Mardis family has a place on hwy 51 in Ridgeland but they live in Clinton. They could be more fair and honest and they do great work. It's going to cost more than you want to spend wherever you go.
Toba W. replied:
Call one of the Auto parts stores. Tell them what kind of car you have. Ask them what you would need for a tune-up. Ask them what the parts costs. Greta example, my daughters fiance is a mechanic (He doesn't do that anymore, however he still is.) In any event I went and got everything i needed for brakes ( good brakes, not the best but "good" quality.) The parts were like $50.00. I called around and I was told it would be about $125.00-150.00 for these "places" to do the job. Essentially, that means the labor/time is about twice what the parts are. Here is one "price." How Much Does a Car Tune Up Cost Ads by GoogleRed River Wrecker ServiceTowing Service, Tires, Repair Shop Automotive and Tractor/Trailerwww. redriverwreckerservice. comRepo Car Auctions $500Buy Repos and Seized Autos. 70% off $1 to search thousands All Makesusgovernmentauctions. netLeasing a New Car Cheap$160 Mo/$0 Down New Car Specials. Find Clearance Sale Lease Deals!new. carleasingsecrets. com The car tune up cost can vary based on how much is needed in the tune up, type of car, as well as if any new parts are needed. A car tune up can be as low as $50 dollars, but it can actually be several hundreds of dollars in the end. You must factor in that a tune up may require not only parts, but also a lot of labor hours, which is not cheap. Labor rates can range from $40 to as much as $150 depending on where you choose to get your car tuned up. You may want to shop around to see if there are any specials on car tune ups. Usually you can find small auto shops that offer a nice one time deal to get you into their place, and hope that you continue to use their shop in the future. A car tune up includes the checking and possible replacement of parts like the spark plugs, air filters, pipes & belts. It also may include simple maintenance tasks such as tire pressure check, tire rotation, an oil change, and other fluid checks (brake, coolant, etc.). One of the most expensive tasks is having your transmission fluid flushed. You should have that changed every couple years and can run you around $200. Overall, a car tune up is usually done every few years at around 50,000 miles. It may cost you a lot, but it can increase the life span of your car by years if you fix and replace any bad parts. So, there you have it. Up to you to decide how much you "want to spend."

Erica B. replied:
Jeremy Wallace was awesome! It took a little time for him to get out here because he also works at the Clinton Fire Dept., but time wasn't an issue for us. He diagnosed correctly, got the vehicle fixed up and charged us so little! Too little! He was recommended by several friends. Now we recommend him to others.
Patty P. replied:
Don't get me wrong I like Pete Tyre and them too, and Morris may be right over the line in Jackson, but so what?!?!?! Richard and his family live in Clinton and have been here as long as I can remember and are great folks - I am sure they contribute PLENTY to the City of Clinton. I don't pick big time services (like fixing my car) based on if they are in Clinton or not, I pick mine based on who's best for the job! That's just two cents, though. Again, I like the Tyre family just as much as I like the Morris family! They are all fellow Clintonians (if that matters to the original poster) and great folks with great reputations!:)
Robert L. replied:
I have lived in Clinton for over 30 years and raised 4 kids with used cars that seem like always needed something done. I've used almost every repair shop around and can tell you good and bad things about almost all of them. I still use them based on what the problem is. If it is a major problem or one others can't figure out, I go to Pete Tyre. In my 30 year in Clinton, I've never heard of a car problem he can't diagnose and fix. My 2 cents
Sarah L. replied:
