We had issues with a brand new Grand Am in 1999. Had 5 miles on it when we got it. We factory ordered it. If it could break, it broke. Transmission went out at 5 thousand miles. Brakes at 8. All electric windows had to be replaced. Upholstery bubbled. We were at the shop weekly. They followed my pregnancy with my oldest child. They showed her around the shop when we had her. We had a lemon. Lemon laws did not apply. We ended up trading it in. I loved the car and driving it, but it was always in the shop. Always. At 12000 we traded it for a Nissan.
