Megan P. replied:
Dr. Sumrell at Peachwood Medical. Herndon and Villa
Christie P. replied:
Krogstad and Mojibi. Amazing ladies
Suzanne A. replied:
Dr. Kim at Fresno children's group. We really like him and he is very thorough. We switched years ago from peachwood.
Other Mommies, does anyone have a good recommendation for a pediatrician in Clovis?
Bridgette R. replied:
My mom is the office manager for Community Medical Providers and their Pediatricians are AMAZING! Our kids see Dr. Chang. Love all of them! (559)437-7300
Susan J. replied:
FYI Dr Sumrell is the dr who dismissed our concerns about our son's development; refused to refer out. Son has CP. We like community medical providers!
Shastina W. replied:
Dr Dianne Hubbard is amazing at Peachwood Pediatric
Brigid J. replied:
Our doctor is Family Practice, and he takes care of my grandson as well as the whole family. His name is Daniel Borgstadt, and he's an awesome doctor. Really listens. He prayed with the kids when Aidan was born...he was 5 weeks early and they were scared. He's taking new patients.
Our family, though promised it wouldn't happen, have lost coverage for every single one of our regular doctors (who we love). Need to find a good pediatrician for the...
Kathryn P. replied:
Kaipo Ramos... very frustrating. But I think I was expecting it. Ugh.
Nicole M. replied:
We love love love Dr. Nidhi Mehrotra. She's terrific. Several friends go to her as well.
Amy H. replied:
We have used Dr. Miranda a little a long time ago but he was good.
Luna F. replied:
We used Dr. Kratzer. I only saw him with a little baby. Very Pro-breastfeeding.... which is why we went to him. I have no idea how he is with older kids....especially if you feel you may need referrals. I know how frustrating it can be to feel there is a problem and it seems like it is getting down played. I am not saying Dr. Kratzer is that way with other things.... It was just my experience with breastfeeding and losing my milk. I was told it was normal. It wasn't. Extremely nice man. Sat with me a lot through the breastfeeding. Just wish that he would have prescribed me something to keep my milk. When we moved to Memphis I found the thing that helps. With all that said... he is awesome, I was just a rare case that no one can seem to explain.
Kelly L. replied:
I like Dr. Miranda. He's not close, but if you're used to going all the way out to Dr. Jones it's not too bad, he's off of Herndon and Fresno.
Luna F. replied:
Kathryn Ryan Poduska, just an idea. Have you checked to see if it is cheaper to buy insurance for yourself through the exchange than the premiums through his employer? Or you and the kids through the exchange? I think that is what it we are going to do. It will save us 75% to buy for ourselves, than if Chris buys it for us through work.
Luna F. replied:
Dr. Miranda wasn't at peachwood. BUt I think he moved his practice... not sure where it is now. I think Kelly Kathleen Laing kids see him
Suzanne H. replied:
We have had great experiences with Dr. Shahanifar at ABC Pediatrics. She used to practice at Clovis Community for years, and then started her own practice not too long ago. Since her practice is still new-ish, wait times are minimal and I've never had a problem getting a same day appointment. I feel she was really proactive and took my concerns about Meredith's speech seriously, but we've never dealt with anything more complicated than that, so I can't speak to that. I have also heard great things about Dr. Kratzer.
Suzanne H. replied:
Dr. Fields closed his practice. (We used to see him, too, and loved him.) He referred his patients to Dr. Shahanifar, which is how we found her.
Laura J. replied:
We changed from Kaiser to United Health last year. We had to find all new doctors. I was seeing a doctor at Dry Creek Medical that I liked, but she recently left. The kids have Mark Simonian at Clovis Community. Absolutely NEVER have to wait at appointments. You'll kind of feel like you're his only patients. The office is small and nice. The doctor is a little quirky, but he's very thorough and nice to the kids. I've been pleased. OBGYN is Illingworth. I've been happy there, too.
Kathryn P. replied:
If you can avoid it, don't do United Health. Dr Jones takes EVERYTHING, even medi-cal... but United Health, no way. What the heck?!
Kathryn P. replied:
United Health is one of the bigger insurance exchange providers... so I'm not sure about that.
Kathryn P. replied:
Dr Jones... he has been the best dr my boys have EVER had. I'm sick about it. We note have United Health. It's supposed to be a really good plan similar to a PPO... but it's not turning out that way. We used to have Blue Shield Blue Cross PPO. I feel like Caleb's employer misled us. This sucks!
Nancy S. replied:
Yes! Brian Guthrie is still Kaiser.
Natalie H. replied:
Dr. Thampy is wonderful! She is on Herndon and Chestnut.
Melissa B. replied:
I was going to say Dr. Jones!! Sorry you are having to leave him!! I used to go to Dr. Simionian like Laura Jensen mentioned... I agree with her assessment. Really dry, but cute practice. Let us know where you go!!
So irritated by my sons pediatrician. He's a great Dr. But because I'm young he treats me like an idiot. Yes I'm younger but that doesn't make me any less of a mother...
