I had a really good experience today meeting Gary Molloy from https://www.facebook.com/1171171176227065 GM Auto Repairs near the old railway bridge on Dumbarton road - total gentleman, I really can't recommend him highly enough - especially for female motorists, he's not the type of mechanic who condescends or talks down to you. From the description, it sounds like you're losing coolant - could be a blown cylinder head gasket (ouch) but hopefully could just be an air bubble in the coolant system. In any case, it definitely sounds like a mechanical rather than an electrical problem, so I'd definitely recommend Gary to you, Emma Louise. Best of luck, I hope your problem is as quickly and easily fixed as mine was today xx
