I'm dropping my dog off tomorrow at Graydon Kennels. I've been very happy with their service so far and they have worked together with me wonderfully. And in my opinion their prices are fair.

I am looking for a good but inexpensive vet, (that is probably an oxymoron). I would appreciate your recommendations and why. Thanks so much.
Kathryn M. replied:
Dr Lazercheff has been wonderful to me as my dog goes through chemo. He is the new vet at Oakhurst vet.
Veronica R. replied:
Oakhurst Vet hands down . They're fantastic! Didn't like how the other vet place treated me or my animals.
Ali G. replied:
South County Veterinary Hospital in Selma. It's a bit of a drive but Dr. Hatayama is a very thorough and caring vet. He is well worth the drive plus doesn't charge an arm and a leg. He saved my dog's life several years ago when I couldn't afford the $1,300 surgery (price for another vet). If you're looking for a veterinarian office that is fancy this is not the place for you but if you're looking for excellent affordable veterinarian services South County Vet is the place to go.
Nina L. replied:
Very good and pricing is fair. http://www.valleyviewveterinary.net/

All Creatures in Bootjack. I went there with a friends dog. Never have I seen such caring and professionalism. I really liked some of the staff at Oakhurst Vet, but I prefer ALL CREATURES, hands down.
Mike F. replied:
Dr. Taylor at Hoof N Paw. She's compassionate, understanding and treats your pet like her own. We've had four of our pets with her. One needed diabetic management, one had hyperthyroidism. Her office was wonderful when we had to put two of ours to sleep, the office staff knew we were distressed and got us in right away.

We are so BLESSED to have Dr Kevin Lazarchoff ( spelling?) at Oakhurst Vet hospital. I work with Dogs and cats every and have referred many of my clients to him. He goes above and beyond. He is competent and thoughtful. Prior to meeting him, I drove to Dana Point to see my vet.
Kareen S. replied:
You might try Dr. Renee Brewer at Valley View Veterinary on 41 between Coarsegold and Fresno. I started taking my pets to her when I became unhappy with the vets in the mountain area.http://www.valleyviewveterinary.net/
We have always appreciated Oakhurst Veterinary...took good care our rsttie, our dear doggies and our kitty:)

Dr Kevin at Oakhurst Vet hospital is AWESOME! Very well trained and tons of experience. I’ve shown dogs for 35 years and drove to Newport for my Vet. When I found Dr lazarchoff, that all changed. I’ve worked for and with many vets over my years and I truly found a gem in this man. It’s very hard for me to trust but I have 100% confidence now and refer all of my clients ❤️. Good luck

Karen F. replied:
I use to take our cat to Oakhurst vets. But when they couldn't get him in one time, and he was really in need of seeing the vet, Coarsegold got him in. They were so nice and the vet is so gentle with him that we have switched to Coarsegold.:)

Heather B. replied:
Dr. Lazercheff, the new owner of Oakhurst Vet is a wonderfully compassionate person and a skilled Dr. When I moved to Coarsegold, he was a young equine vet and worked out of the Hoof N Paw offices. (20 something years ago) I had a pair of mares that were VERY old (39 and 36) When their health began to deteriorate, and I knew it was their time, I had him out to help me euthanize them. I was only about 20 years old. I had literally had these two mares my entire life. I toddled around their feet as a baby and hadnt had a day without them around. Putting them down was terribly hard for me. And not only did Dr. Kevin make that happen as peacefully as possible, when the deed was done, he told me to go. That he would help my husband bury them, so I didnt have to see them put in the ground. That is above and beyond for a large animal vet. I am delighted that he has returned to this area and purchased Oakhurst Veterinary. Our community is lucky to have him.

Can you help me... I can't find my post from yesterday...
about finding a Vet in Oakhurst that takes Care Credit...
a lot of nice people gave me great leads and...
We have gone to Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital for 16 years now. They do take credit cards, checks and pet insurance. Even though we had to move to Fresno we still continue to take our pets to Doctor Nagel. 683-2135
Is there a vet up here that makes house calls? We have a large lab, too arthritic to get in the car.
Jen B. replied:
Call Dr Mero. She's a large animal vet, but may be able to help. She's our equine vet. 209 966 6497. This sounds like an emergency, so treat it as such and page her. If anything she can steer you in the right direction.
If not allowed sorry. I have a kitten that is really sick( it's not mine kids brought it home) I think it needs to be put down but I can't do it and I can't afford a vet...
Cathy S. replied:
Call Hoof 'n' Paw. There may be a vet on call. 683-3313
