I need to find a pediatrician for Drake in the Corpus area. Suggestions of who to use & who to stay away from please!
Patrick K. replied:
We use Dr. Guthrie at ABC
Valerie L. replied:
I don't know if he is accepting new patients but we use a Family Dr. His name is Robb Sherron808-7200. We found him right after we moved to Texas & we love him. He has seen us through A LOT.
Jill C. replied:
I use abc pediatrics and use Dr medina. The boys LOVE her. She is in the Saratoga office. We've seen other doctors in both offices and I really liked them all. Dr. Medina is amazing though. I wish she were my doctor lol. She is a hugger too
Megan E. replied:
We use Dr. Guthrie at ABC Pediatrics. Love him!
Elizabeth F. replied:
Grayson uses Dr Chua at ABC. Erin loves her.
K S. replied:
I agree with Jill above. Dr Medina is amazing
Sarah N. replied:
I use Dr Chua at ABC Pediatrics... she is very good.. she is at the Saratoga office.
Candice W. replied:
ABC Pediatrics
Allie R. replied:
Dr. Chua at ABC Pediatrics on Saratoga is amazing! I'd highly recommend her.
Betty S. replied:
Leshin at ABC pediatrics! We never felt the desire/need to switch and drove to Saratoga when he moved from Alameda office. My girls still wish they could see him. He personally and promptly returns calls and would call me during my conference time if that's what I requested. Also HE decides whether or not to do any testing (strep swab, check for UTI) not his nurse.
New to the area. Looking for recommendations for a pediatrician who is pro breast feeding, feeding on demand, and BLW. I know all 3 might be hard. A girl can dream!
Jacquie O. replied:
We see Dr Anna Damian at St Joes and have never been anything but supported on all of those issues. Wait times can be a little lengthy, but we have always been able to get a same day appt when needed.
Natasha C. replied:
Dr Sullivan at UPA
Kelly D. replied:
I use Dr. Elizabeth Suarez at St. Joseph Family Medicine. She's a family doctor but is amazing. I did all three of these and she supported my choices. She never questioned me and has let me do what I think is best for MY child.
Jamie L. replied:
Dr. Meyer with Scott and White
Melissa B. replied:
Second vote for St. Joe's family med. We see Dr. Rice, but everyone we've seen there has been very patient-driven and open to pretty much anything (homeopathic/natural remedies, extended breast feeding, BLW, cloth diapering, delayed vax, etc). Great practice!
Monica L. replied:
Second vote for Dr. Suarez! We've only been seeming her since my older child turned 2 last year but it's such a HUGE difference from her former pediatrician that I'm glad we made the switch! She's the only doctor my son (8 months old) has ever been to and I loved her so much she's also my doctor now!
Monica L. replied:
I will add that the only drawback to Dr. Suarez is that she's very popular so it may be hard to get in as a new patient and unless you have the first apt of the day expect to wait. However, it's like that with all of the really good doctors in this area.
Trish G. replied:
Another vote for St. Joe's Family Medicine, all of their doctors are great!
Bailey C. replied:
We love Dr Suarez too! I saw her for my pregnancy and now our son sees her too. She told me in an appointment last week that she nursed her daughter for 23 months! She has been really great. Our son is small but she has reassured us that he is fine and that breastfed babies are sometimes just smaller/leaner. I also saw Dr. Olson once when Suarez was on vacation. Dr. Olson was also really great. I was 39 weeks and she assured me that even though I was dilated, Dr Suarez would be back to help *me* bring my baby into the world.
Josie B. replied:
Dr. Svedson with Scott and white. She is all for the natural ways and supports breastfeeding and takes the time to make sure you feel like you got the attention and care you needed for your child. I absolutely love having her as my son's Dr
Dr. Krause at St. Joseph pediatrics. She is amazing, and will still call her yourself if needed. That is hard to come by these days!
Brooke Y. replied:
Russell Bacak! He's awesome!!!
Garrett W. replied:
Dr. Bacak! He has kiddos and treats your kids as if they're his own. Plus he was a New Life elder until they planted Deaf Church. Talk about comprehensive care!
Chase C. replied:
Dr Schams is an A+ Christian doctor who also attends our church.... Jaimie and I just left his office actually with our daughter
Christine K. replied:
We're going to go with Dr. Krause...she always insist on coming to the ER to see her own pts when we have to admit them and she has GREAT bedside manner with kiddos and their parents.
Chris H. replied:
I am just frustrated. Alainas Doctor, Dr. Flippin at Scott and White is awful. She gets these sinus infections pretty regularly during the fall/winter season.. well it usually takes me at least 2 doctor appointments one day after the other for them to ...See More
Elizabeth W. replied:
Dr Elizabeth Suarez! Great dr.:)
Randi C. replied:
We love Dr. Schams & Dr. Feaster. Dr. Feaster goes to church at Central & has 3 little girls all around Kam, Alaina, and Aubrey's age. He's just a family dr but that just means the whole family can see him. He's great!
Not a big fan of my current pediatrician...any recs for the BG area? Thanks!
Kelley O. replied:
Love Dr. Kniery
Seth B. replied:
Dr Smith was mine growing up and was great. I believe his son is running that practice now, is that right Jackie Jernigan Barnett?
Kacey S. replied:
I like Dr. Chris Smith at Pediatric Associates
Laura B. replied:
Dr Chris smith has been great for us and Cash
Lindsey B. replied:
Love love love Dr. Kniery! He is amazing! Would not recommend any one at Graves Gilbert clinic. There are some good ones but there are also not so good ones and it is a bummer if those are the ones you get stuck talking to in the middle of the night. I've heard about almost all of them from working at the hospital so if you have any questions let me know!
Wendy S. replied:
Pediatric Associates is who I use for both mine. His group is on Ashley Circle.
Laura G. replied:
Kevin Kelly at the Glasser clinic. He also sees adults so we have a one stop shop!

Traci M. replied:
Dr Robbins in Weatherford is great with Jayna. Just an idea if you are still looking. Also, depending on if you have insurance or not they are great with cash pay. Cash pay price I believe is $65.
Emily G. replied:
Dr McGehee is wonderful!!!
JJ P. replied:
Dr Greg Evers' tailgate
Katie B. replied:
Cook Children's in Willow Park! Dr. Rose-Stine is AMAZING!!!!!!!
Tara W. replied:
I also use Dr. McGeehe & Dr. Charette in FtWorth. I know you want local, but they are the best.
I suspect my 6 month old daughter has a tongue tie and lip tie. Where do I start in getting it fixed? Her regular pediatrician? A pediatric dentist? Does anyone have...
Toni K. replied:
Dr Rice will clip them.
Leslie H. replied:
She usually won't clip them that late. Most docs also don't clip the lip tie. It will bleed a lot and require general anesthesia. Most kids will bust their lips when walking and clip their own lip ties. Dr. Schmidt will clip the tongue this late, though. I'd call his office.
Mothers in College Station/Navasota area, Help! I'm looking for both a pediatrician and a day care....suggestions/advice/general knowledge would be greatly appreciated!...
