Hi all! We are new to the area and are looking for recommendations for a family physician, pediatrician, and dentist. If you have thoughts on any of these you wouldn't...
Kristal C. replied:
I go to family physicians of the mid cities (817) 684-3500 And I use signature dental 1 (682) 503-4507
Emily R. replied:
i use the same doctors as Kristal, Dr Olivo is a pediatrician and family, she is great and have been seeing her for years.
Lisa F. replied:
Dr. Sandra Armstrong in Southlake for a kids dentist. They are great!!
I need an anti-vax friendly pediatrician that is taking new patients.
Allen G. replied:
I get that, but again, there's just no statistical correlation. It's, like, tobacco smoke is obviously bad, right? But smoking a single cigarette isn't going to harm you. Even so, that's a very questionable assertion about vaccines. Take a look: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/toxic-myths-about.../
To my kind and helpful friends: We are looking for pediatrician recommendations in the Grapevine or HEB areas and why you like him/her. Thanks for helping us again
Angela K. replied:
3 of your friends use the same as I do!! Cook Children's on Tibbets across from HEB.. Some of my neighborhood friends sent me there. There are a few Dr's there.. Wheeler, Radamacky and we use Dr. Jackson. They are all great! If your child gets sick they get you in quick and I've never had to wait long in the waiting room. They are kind and thorough!
Krystal Z. replied:
My kids also go to Dr. Jackson at Cook Children's on Tibbets. It is a bit of a drive for me, but my kids like her and so do I. I did the whole interview thing before my son was born and we decided to go to Dr. Wheeler, who was great, but my son went through a phase when he was 2 where he did not like men. Weird, I know, but I asked him if he saw a "girl" doctor would be be better about going to the doctor. At the time Dr. Wheeler and Rademacky were in a different office, so I just looked at who was covered under our insurance and picked a name randomly (my son liked her name, I guess). Then a few years ago Dr. Jackson changed offices and end up with Wheeler & Rademacky. I think all 3 of these doctors are great. They are great about getting you in if your child is sick and have been great with my kids from day 1. Good Luck, I definitely suggest interview doctors. You have to be comfortable with the person.
Angie L. replied:
Dr. James Wheeler. By HEB hospital. Love. This. Man. I'd have another baby for him if he needed. Sweetest. LOVE
Stephaine K. replied:
I use Dr. Zwernemann as my ob also, Emily Wade! I agree with her! I did a lot of research on his wife and only found great things. I didn't use her because she was too far for me.
Christie P. replied:
Here's a vote for Dr. Sandra Arca at the Grapevine Cook Children's physician office on William D Tate (south of the big UHaul store).
Naova G. replied:
We use Dr. Faryal Ghaffar and have since Erinne wss born. We love her because she lets you decide what you want to do regarding your child's health. She doesn't like to prescribe meds unless absolutely necessary and if you think you want meds she will prescribe what would work. She is one of the head Dr for L&D at Baylor Grapevine. She is a mom of 2 or 3 younger boys herself so she can relate to your problems. She is a woman of few words but is amazing at what she does. Also she is a specialist in infectious diseases, very good resume.
Reace S. replied:
We love Dr. James Wheeler at the Cook Children's office on Tibbets in Hurst. He was the head of pediatrics at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB and he's great with kids.
Christian R. replied:
Dr. Benzick!!! For all of the above reasons and more his nurses are amazing... nurse Judy and Jessica. I went and interviewed pediatricians while my boys were in the NICU and they offered to pray for them and were so welcoming from the start. We went to see him today for their 6 month well check. He is always very thorough with the smallest details! Love their whole office!!!

Stacye W. replied:
Dr. Lopez in Hurst is fantastic. The boys have gone to him since they were 6 months old. He is a great listener, explains things simply, and is aggressive in treatment, he is through Cooks network. Easy to get into see. Recommend him and trust him 100% with my boys care.
Raul J. replied:
We went through the interview process with a few doctors that were recommended by Jacklyn's doc and we first fell in love with Dr. Benzick's nurse as she was the first one we met(very loving grandma type) and he was the icing on the cake(but we'd probably like him just as much if we met him first...he seemed to have great answers to all our questions, treats Thomas with a very caring/loving attitude and it was a comment about not taking credit for his own work as it was God using him as an instrument, that sealed the deal for us....also he explains everything in a way that we always leave his office leaving well informed and he always makes sure to let us know that he is available via phone if any questions arise after we leave). Not only that but we also found out that Jacklyn's doc sends her kids to him as well, so that was a definite plus. I recommend making a list of several that you think would be a good fit for you and then setup interviews with them to make sure which one you like best. There are questionnaires that you can print out online to take with you. Good luck!!!
