Cardiologist recommendations Does anyone have a cardiologist they recommend? I moved her about a year ago and have gone to Prisma Heart but got assigned a Fellow, who...

I have seen Amy Epps at Lexington medical and really like her. https://www.lexmed.com/find-a-doctor/detail/3446/amy-rawl-epps-md-facc

You can always ask them to assign you to an attending as you would appreciate having more continuity of care. Prisma has the most services in town, just missing actual transplant. Lexington would probably be your next best bet.. Fellows are working on advanced care and should know the basics, while also being supervised by qualified cardiologists. It's always good to give them a not vanilla situation to learn from, although I can understand not wanting a new face every 1-3 years. \-+-++--

More of an anti-recommendation: avoid Dr. Rhineheart at Baptist. He's extremely dismissive and doesn't believe what you say even if you have managed severe chronic illnesses for decades that require you to be actively involved in your medical care.

Dr. Morgan at Providence Heart. He was able to find what was wrong that no other doctor could for years. Very straightforward and honest, first doctor I've had in a long time that asks me what I want to do moving forward with my health.

Not an answer to your question, but avoid Dr. Wells. He ran a ton of tests on me for issues I’ve been having for years. All he could say was “the results are inconclusive”. Four months later I had a heart attack and was found to have 100% blockage around my heart requiring a quadruple bypass. None of which he saw or had any reason for not seeing. He was always very short with me during my visits and spent more time talking to his trainees than me. Sadly, that seems to be the case with every cardiologist I’ve seen since as well. Good ones are extremely hard to find!
