My home inspector told us that while he couldn't put it in the official report, all the equipment for the pool at the house we were buying looked good and everything seemed fine with it other than the filter being kinda old.

I live just outside of Louisville. Ran into the same problem with our “home” inspector not looking at pools. We buy our chemicals from Backyard Staycations in New Albany. They sell chemicals and service pools. They might have offer an inspection service.
