I am in search of a good vet in the Columbus or Franklin area. I have already tried Bean Blossom in Brown County but they cannot figure out what is wrong with my kitten....

I had a dog really sick and took her to every vet around and the only one who took the time to figure out was really wrong with her was Best Friends on 46 W. He was fantastic even though I had wasted so much time on other vets and it was to late for my best friend Sheba R.I.P. They were fantastic through the rough times we endured.
Katherine O. replied:
We use Hope Veterinary and love them. They have a location in Columbus just as you come from Brown County and 3 others I believe

Chase B. replied:
If you don't mind the 30 minute drive, Seymour Animal Hospital has been my go to for the last 9 years. They took good care of my dog when she had parvo and recently had a lump removed from her paw. They are very nice and understandable. On a side note though, Bean Blossom is a joke. Will NEVER go to again. I took my dog there about 9 years ago when she showed signs of parvo and they refused to test her for it. Kept saying that's not what was wrong with her. When in fact that's exactly what was wrong with her. Good luck and I hope your kitten gets better soon!
Ann A. replied:

Hydrogen Peroxide works wonders. I've saved several cats who had big gaping holes in the side of their heads before by using it. Apply it several times a day and keep the wound clean and dry if possible. Also if you are in need of a vet....Jackson County Animal Clinic is awesome. Much closer than Bean Blossom and the vets keep up on the latest in vet medicine. They also are great at working with you on payments.

Check Bean Blossom first doc. Breaster is no longer there. I do believe they still have reasonable rates, but definitely call ahead. No vet will ever be able to do what Breaster did for the price.

Any recommendations for a vet in Columbus( or surrounding area) that is reasonable and very caring? thanks!

Eastside Vet is the Cheapest I have found and he is very caring, doesnt have great bedside manner but loves animals. He is a great choice if you just need basic care. Hope and Athens are higher but good if you have special needs.

We go to Franklin Animal Clinic. Worth the drive. THey give discounts for those who work in rescue.
