There’s a picnic area at Mohican state park where you can probably reserve it for the day. Also there’s this place up in the Mohican forest that is pretty secluded and awesome and you can rent that pavilion too. Sure those are cheap venues. Saw two weddings the week I stayed at the state park a month ago

We got married in April 2017 at Strongwater in franklinton. It’s a cool industrial space and everyone was very easy to work with. Now my caveat here is this: we got married on a Sunday. That saved us TONS of money. If you’re able and willing to do a Sunday wedding you’ll see prices on everything from venue to vendors go down significantly. Sometimes it’s a $10,000 diff in venue price from a Saturday to a Sunday. I also live in the Dublin/Powell area so I get needing to be close. PM me if you have any questions.
DeeLite04 replied:
Duh I should have read further. We used Sarah Gee as our photographer and I can’t say enough great things about her. Donnie Mossman was our DJ, recommended by Strongwater, and he was easy to work with and kept the night flowing well. We used Strongwaters’ own catering and it was great. Again PM me with any questions! :)

NatieB replied:
http://www.whitefenceacres.com/faqs.html It's kind of in the middle of nowhere (Marengo), but it's a really cool old barn with a pond and a big covered patio. The price was reasonable especially if you're planning on doing a lot yourself.

I had a very budget wedding in Columbus. It is doable with a lot of work. I spent a lot less than people typically expect and it was still my favorite day of my life. For DJ I found a guy called DJ Fish who was really affordable so I really wasn’t expecting a lot at all. But he was so great! He sat down and met with us and went over everything we wanted. He did an amazing job keeping everything moving along throughout the day, brought a lot of fun and energy to the event, and is overall just a really nice guy! https://www.facebook.com/djfishbookings/

Cannot recommend enough how good Night Music DJ was at our wedding.
The DJ was Steve and he really made it a memorable experience. Before the wedding he sat down with us and went over our tastes, wanted to know specific songs we wanted (and even more important didn't want), and for our first dance he even found an obscure live recording of a song I wanted. He read the audience and always played the right song to keep the dance floor packed all night.
He was so good that close to the end of it we paid for an extra hour and kept the reception going. We received a lot of compliments on how it was the best DJ guests had heard.
