I haven't been out in a long time, but try any of the Columbus public courses as well. I'm sure they rent clubs, but I would call ahead first just to be safe. I've done the Raymond Memorial one and that was fun. You could also do the airport one and watch the planes fly in as well. http://www.columbuscitygolfcourses.com/

If you are talking about the Gahanna fireworks, we have always watched them from the parking lot at New Life Church. That is, when they were set off at the Gahanna Golf Course. If they open the lot, it is a great place to get together and watch them with family and friends. Bring your chairs or a blanket. Great view.
