I am very familiar with Orthopedic One (formerly the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence) on Sawmill Rd in UA. It is a one stop shop for all things orthopedics (x-rays, MRI, surgery, physical therapy all in one building), and most of the doctors do sports med. If you don't mind telling me what you are having trouble with (knee, shoulder, etc) I can recommend a specific doctor

I see Dr. Hedge at MAXSports off of olentangy rd near University Village. There are several doctors there that specialize in sports medicine. 10/10, highly recommend.

Dr. David Robie at the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence did the surgery on my clavicle after a bad break that was misdiagnosed and healed wrong. He did a great job and was pleasant and informative- the things you would like to expect. You can look at their doctors list and see which ones work on the area you're having issue with, then see which ones have a have a sports medicine background. They are partnered with the Columbus Crew and US Men/Women soccer team. http://www.ohio-ortho.com/doctors.html

I've had really good luck with the OSU Spine Center at Taylor and Lawrence, or with OrthoNeuro which has offices all over the city.

I may be the outlier (though speaking with friends and teammates I know I'm not), but I can't recommend against OSU sports med enough. There may be a couple good docs there, but the one I had was awful, and I've heard at least one other, if not two, are equally bad. The caveat to this is that I later found out the guy I had was focused on family sports med and was usually a lecturer, not a clinician, and he definitely didn't have an athletic background. I have heard OSU is excellent for knees though. My former roommate also went to med school at OSU and he spoke strongly against going to OSU for any issue.
I finally went to Grant after playing games with OSU for about 6 months. The guy at Grant was awesome and came highly recommended. He clearly knew sports and sports injuries and actually respected my opinion when I told him what I thought was wrong (shoulder issues, I'm not a doctor but I'm smarter than the average Joe at this stuff, I've been athletically active my entire life in rough sports). I also know the former director/one of the doctors from our gym and the dude is a legit athlete in addition to being a doctor.

Sorry to piggy back on OP's post, but will most sport medicine doctors help you with postural assessments and general mobility? I have been watching a lot of videos online to help fix my tight muscles and increase mobility but it would be nice to go to a trained professional.
