Im pretty sure there are a few dog sitters on this site.... as well as recommendations. I've used Dog Godfather in walnut creek before. I'd be able to take the older dog but can't handle a puppy. Lol. Good luck!
Breanna P. replied:
Check over rover.com I'm also on there.. It's a reliable pet/house sitting site that you can either have your pups stay at the persons house or at yours! And you pay through the site and everything is accounted for!

Anyone know of a vet that puts pets to sleep for free? Hate seeing my pet suffering..
Catherine H. replied:
UC Davis Vet Hospital do it for free as long as you donate the body to them
Sharon R. replied:
Shanna Saldana Broadway Pet Hospital ...Dr. Ladhar is very kind. It is fairly inexpensive. Although I don't know you, I can help with $50 of the cost. 642-0633. Call and see what the cost is, and you can call me - 707 655-8096. He put our rat to sleep a few years ago.
ISO: Great veterinarian for our dog and cat. Moving to the area and need recommendations.

We've always used Sunset Animal Clinic in Fairfield and we love them and so do a lot of people we know
Ariel J. replied:
Sunset Animal Clinic. Hands down amazing. My family has used them ever since we have lived in the area; since 1990. Never had any issues. Very friendly.

Dr. Heit! Best staff ever, and he reminds me of Dr. Doolittle. He will literally get down on the floor to interact with your pet

Took my three dogs to Cabarrus Animal Hospital the entire time I lived up there. Great staff, good prices, no upsells. Hating leaving that place.

+1 for Cabarrus Animal Hospital. My family has been taking our dogs there for over 20 years. Great people.

I know it's not in Concord but sycamore animal clinic is hands down the best vet I've ever been able to visit. It's in mint Hill. The vet is super friendly and great with pets. I think they do your first exam for free also.

We use South Ridge Vet in Kannapolis. They don't overcharge, which is nice, and the people are friendly.

Another +1 for Cabartus Animal hospital. My cats and my parents dog both go there. The dog had to have knee surgery and they were just wonderful. They're open on saturdays and late during the week so appointments are really easy to work into a schedule.
Hello!
I know people have posted in the past different places to get a cat microchipped (that is fairly inexpensive compared to my regular veterinarian). Does anyone...
Valerie P. replied:
They are usually at tractor supply or pet supplies plus... put your zip code in on the finder, and it will show the closest clinics to where you are. Microchipping is listed as $15. https://www.vippetcare.com/find-a-clinic/
Anybody in Concord use the Animal Care Clinic for their pets? Any good suggestions on an affordable vet?
Kristin F. replied:
We use Animal Care Clinic for a lot of our stuff and like Dr. Moore very much. South Ridge Veterinary Hospital in Kannapolis is very good also. LOVE Dr. Bingham! But for all of our basic, routine stuff like shots and meds, we go to the vax clinics with Dr. Bob and Carolina Value Vet Mobile Pet Vaccine Clinic. The line can be a bit long (they do offer service at the car after the regular clinics) but it's TOTALLY worth the wait for the money you save. Dr. Bob has also seen our pets at his house on occasion - which is right near Animal Care Clinic - when we've needed. Given your situation and the fact that you may not be able to stand in line for an hour or more to wait, I'd contact him via their FB page and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to see you at his home for any of your needs.

Go to Poplar Animal Hospital on Liles Blvd. Jeff Munn is wonderful and a personal friends.
Sarah S. replied:
I take my dog to Banfield at PetSmart. We used to take her to Animal Care, but they always gave her a kennel shot (if that's the place I'm thinking of) which she didn't need
Mary B. replied:
Poplar Animal Hospital - they are nice - we did Fosters for years & liked them too.
Kathy S. replied:
Heather, I used Foster's for 35 yrs., but they out-priced themselves. I now go to West Stanly Animal Clinic in Locust. Great people, and they don't "force" all kind of tests, just to get your meds like heartworm preventatives . If they are due shots, and they are doing well, you don't have to pay for an office visit, just take them in for their shots. Their hours are limited, but they have offices in Albemarle as well. Dr. Annie, from Foster's is in the Albemarle location.
Shane C. replied:
If you just need shots and regular stuff check out Carolina Value Vet. Can't beat their prices.
Can anyone recommend a good Emergency Vet for Cats in Concord? My cat is having a bad reaction to topical flea meds and need advice.
Suzanne P. replied:
The Emergency vet in Kannapolis is expensive. Try Whiskers and Paws off of Branchview.
Bridget A. replied:
We use the Emergency vet at US Hwy 29 and Hwy 3. It's in that shopping center behind Arby's
Scott F. replied:
Go to Cabarrus Animal Hospital next to the QT on South Cannon Blvd while they are open.

Concord Parkway Animal Hospital. It's right beside Sonic in 29. We love them
Jessica G. replied:
Fosters Animal Clinic or Fosters Animal Hospital; both are great, and if you can't get in at one, they may be able to send you to the other. I was able to get a same day appointment for my shepherd over an infected sore about two weeks ago!
Depends on what you need if nothing serious Apollo Vet in Walnut Creek (they are open till Midnight everyday), if something serious like a surgery, ABC Pet Clinic in San Ramon.

Princeton's M. replied:
Pink eye generally requires some ointment to help clear it up. We are not sure if Value Vet can prescribe such an item, you may need to call them and ask. We are not familiar with vets up in your area, we suggest you call around and inquire on the cost of an office visit, explain the situation, they should be able to give you a rough estimate of what it would cost to see him.
